Bill O'Reilly, paparazzo

When it comes to his journalistic practices, the Fox News host has a small issue with hypocrisy.

The key

There is no Bill O'Reilly. Doesn't exist. Don't use his name. It signifies nothing. Likewise Coulter, Limbaugh, Reynolds, Hewitt. These are not people but composites, amalgams of bad ideas, self-created straw men, straw people if you will.

If you want them to go away, you must not point out what is patently obvious about them. The trick to making them go away is to ignore them entirely. The key to diffusing their arguments is not to dignify them with response.

Please.

Stewart on Cheney predicting terrorist attack

This clip was great, thank you Jon Stewart, but it is too bad it is getting so much more play than his bit on responding to Cheney's "If Obama stops torturing people, there will be another terrorist attack" interview from last week. Stewarts respons was so logical, and yet so absent from anyone else's response to Bush/Cheney fear-mongering. CHECK THAT CLIP OUT - I think it was last Thursday. A much more important issue, and a beautifully logical response.

A constitutional right to privacy?

Have to remember this clip the next time Bill O'Reilly goes off on one of his rants against "activist judges". But as has been duly noted O'Reilly and his ilk are not capable of recognizing or admitting their own double-talk.

Its called the No-Hypocrisy-Gene Syndrome!

No Hypocrisy Gene?! Really!

The modern wing-nut conservative has evolved to this. Listen to any wing-nut and this is what you get. It's how they behave because they believe they are right- about everything.

The sad thing is, you can't win with these people

O'Reilly is terrible. So is Hannity, who now says of Obama "I don't trust him. I don't think he's an honest man." You could show footage of this next to his celebration of Bush, Cheney, Palin. And that porno guy he called a "great American."

But you'll never win, never get them to concede. And worse, never convince their followers that this is the essence of hypocrisy.

I'm glad some people can laugh it off. Because I find it frustrating.

So I saw the bit

I thought it was funny.

What I wonder is how much of O'Reilly's show is considered journalism?

There is a difference between the paparazzo parasites who harass people just because they sing or act never giving them a moment of privacy and the journalists who are chasing a story.

But overall, I still say have the politicians treated to the same amount of media scrutiny that pop stars are and you will have a new law, probably a new constitutional amendment very fast on just how much you can document of someone's life on camera just because they are public figures.

He's like, the poster child

for the Right Wing Authoritarian mindset.

All conservaitves are hypocrites.

You just now figured this out? I'm hoping one of the ambushees will call him out on it, on the air I might add.
