He and David Gregory are such shameless media ass-kissers. Helen Thomas, we need you back. These celebrity "reporters" are an embarrassing travesty. They have no journalistic cajones.
Why do viewers assume, in the absence of any actual data, that CNN is an actual news organization, that it actually reports relevant news, and that Wolf Blitzer is an actual reporter?
President Obama's first ceremonial act in office should be the awarding of the presidential medal of freedom to US Airways pilot, "Sully" Sullenberger. The award should be in recognition for not only saving the lives of one hundred fifty passengers and crew, but for also having his story of competence and courage COMPLETELY overshadow the last prime time speech of the previous occupant of the White House. What a fitting end to the worst presidency in American history!
A meaningless gesture designed for nothing more than PR. So far... no good. It would have been nice if his first act was a bit more concrete - like authorizing the closure of Guantanemo in 3 months time (if he gives them an open limit, they'll get around to it when they get around to it) and directing the military to present a plan to him in 30 days that would eliminate all combat troops from Iraq in 18 months.

Jan 19th, 2009 | WASHINGTON -- A federal judge ruled Monday that Vice President Dick Cheney has broad discretion in determining what records created during his eight-year tenure must be preserved.
Absent any evidence that Cheney's office is failing to safeguard records, it is up to the vice president to determine how he deals with material, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled.
As a fellow southpaw watching the signing of documents, I was delighted to realize I share the gift of left-handedness with the new President!
Obsequious sycophant ...
Is Wolf Blitzer getting stupider, or is everyone else getting smarter?
After everything Obama had just done and heard and seen (including seeing off the departing ex-president), sitting down to sign a few documents was probably a nice break.
