    Blago missed his calling as a republican

    If he were a republican, he wouldn't have people from his own party ridiculing him for his bullshit. They'd be supporting him all the way. See Ted Stevens, and how they all rallied around him and said what a great guy he was. All he had to do was say "It wadn't me" and that was good enough for republicans to come to his side.

    Democrats, on the other hand, don't seem to accept pure denial without a shred of credibility. Really, if Blago had thought this out a bit better, he would have switched parties before launching this bullshit campaign.
