I found Eric Holder's brief speech quite interesting. I wonder of you could or someone at Salon could provide a transcript of it.
Despite all the Clinton press, there is no appoint I am so interested in as that of Attorney General. I am thinking he gave a brief but subtle slap to the Bush Administration's way of doing things contrary to law.
The key phrase in his statement is the advancement of our interests. At one time, the world would have seen that as largely synonymous with world interests. The last eight years have demonstrated to the world that those interests are not coincidental. While Mr. Obama is "A New Hope" for a world exhausted from 8 years of the ruinous reign of George the second, if he does not take serious steps to rectify and address the outrages of that reign, he won't have the "New Hope" label long.
That, in contrast, Obama seems to have ALREADY exceeded Bush's 'accomplishments' by having done more good for the nation in his cabinet selections.
And he is not yet even in the White House.
I haven't found a transcript, but MSNBC.com has the video of all those who were introduced, with their brief comments. I was struck by Holder's comments as well. I think you're right about the "subtle slap" toward Bush & Co. He spoke of "valuing the law" and the need to (paraphrased) respect our laws and traditions--which seems, at least, or at least ironically, a nod toward what the current administration hasn't done? I also liked his statements about the importance of working with officials at the state and local levels.
This link should go straight to the video:

Well i am interesting in seeing the team and how it works. The liberal illuminati talked a ton about this bipartisan team. Let's see it in action.
