I have a basic philosophy of government, that government be governed by the people, not people being governed by the government. Most people of America, do not participate in the governmental process of being governed by the people, except on election day when they cast their vote. Unfortunately, less than half of the people of the United States cast their vote and the ones that do go to the polls don't know anything or very little about the issues that are being voted on.

In that said; I’m for lower taxes and smaller government, because lower taxes are better for families, property owners, and small businesses. With lower taxes, businesses have more money to invest, hire, and provide services. Less government bureaucracy improves the business climate, promotes economic growth, and reduces unemployment.

Don't want to rain on the parade. Just want to be the first to rain.

Following the debacle of 2004, Dean was elected to the head of DNC by the same groundswell of change that marked Obama's candidacy. Even more important he laid out a critical point about the survival of the Democratic party; it could campaign in an ever shrinking of "all in" states and thus admitting it does not represent all of America and puts the party's survival of the people, or it could go out even to the most hardcore red states and argue why a Democrat is a viable alternative. Rahim Emmanuel didn't just disagree he disparaged Dean for his "naivety." Rahim wanted a quick victory and Dean, doing what Dean does, got him one in 2006. Rahim took all the credit, and used it to abuse Dean.

Obama ran a campaign based on both Deans internet financial support strategy and all states are in play. Rahim "hid under a desk" to avoid committing to Hillary that he so hard pushed then left in the dust and "his good friend" Obama who he feared might win leaving him in the dust.

Many of us here paid money, worked the phones, or walked the streets to get Obama or Hillary elected. Rahim, claiming how much he loved both of them, did none of these things.

Now he is the chief of staff and oddly silent as that great communist fascist lesbo anarchist Nancy Pelosi implores Obama to go to the "middle" and support the GOP radical agenda.

I can't wait for my pony from Obama, though I'm sure his children will get their dog first. (pictures of the children, like all children, strangling and dressing up the dog soon to be forthcoming.)

What I can wait for, at least until hell freezes over, is President Elect Senator Hopey picking the worst triangulator since Cardinal Richelieu as his chief of staff.

Oh, I'm sure radical new bills will be offered and passed, but all with a watered down version of the status quo.

He picks this loser and you might has well consider the "Clear Skies Act" to the "Really Really Clear Skies Act, and this time we Promise! It's Clear! Except for Those Days Ending in Y"

Glad we elected Barak. Too bad we also elected the status quo of people who do not get it.

Read the link I provided with the post about Obama's memoir and then come back.

It's not a slam dunk case, but on literary analysis (as well as other logical implausibilities discussed in the article) I think the case is, as I said, quite interesting.

It means nothing

There is no plan to deal with the trillion dollar budget deficit, no plan to deal with the trillion dollar trade deficit, no plan to deal with the two trillion dollars owed to social security. It means the federal government is way past broke (huge debt).

To begin to solve this would require two things deep spending cuts and large tax increases. There are only two large spending items in the federal budget war and medical spending. They will both need to be cut but I do not think Obama nor the dems have the strength or courage to do so. So we continue to wait for physical reality to end the illusion.
