Yes. Four years to get pre-menopausally thicker around the middle, thus alienating her bored married white bread base.
Meow. But you know I'm right.
who?
The Obama presidency and the Democratic led Congress get their acts together, heal the economy, push new energy alternatives and get somewhere with these wars I don't think we have to worry about a possible Palin presidency. I'm not sure she could win her party's nomination as she has proven she's a shallow thinker and many think she's unqualified to be president. 4 more years as a governor could change that, but I doubt more than her conservative christian fan base and the guys who are warm for her form would consider her for national office.
Two very satisfying moments from the scene of McCain's concession speech.
First, the scattered boos from McCain's own supporters when he thanked Palin for her run.
Second, the look on McCain's face as he pulled away from shaking her hand, communicating, "At least I never have to do **this** again." with a nonverbal clarity usually reserved for AmeSLan.
What do you want to bet there's going to be an awkward moment in January when she shows up for her first day as VP?
...and that's it.
Stay classy.
Is that in every single (and hopefully there won't be many) election that she ever runs in, her opponents play highlights of that prank phonecall that she got suckered into. She is so ditzy it's unbelievable that someone as airheaded as she is has ever held any political office at all.
Palin is completely stupid. She always has been and always will be. Now she can disappear to her isolated cabin the Alaskan wilderness and talk to President Sarkozy about hunting from helicopters and how wild his wife is in bed.
Betcha she "writes" a book about her struggle, then becomes a Fox News pundocrat.
That wouldn't be so bad--it would keep her out of elected office.
The Palin family is a real life Jerry Springer Show and four years is plenty of time for it to unfold.
Seriously, is it time yet for her to go back to Alaska? How bout now? Now? Please?
Now he's stuck with a batshit insane mother-in-law.
Sheeesh. If anybody in Alaska is reading this, I'm sorry guys, but the reputation of Alaska has taken the same kind of beating that we here in Florida took after the 2000 vote counting and recounting. If our experience is any guide, it should fade in about five or six years.
When she first came on the scene I wondered "Is she up to being a vice president?" Within a month I was wondering "How did she get to be the mayor of a small suburb of Anchorage?" (that question was answered by the Daily Show interview in which the current mayor of Wasilla tried to describe her duties and responsibilities, and was hard put to think of any)
No surprise she couldn't say more. Would the Republicans dare to resurrect her -- I hope not! Good Riddance! The lower 48 will be fine without her!! I'd love to post a sign - shout out - back atchya to her letting her know that the "real" Americans have spoken! You weren't speaking to the "real" Americans!
... the right wing of the Republican party dies a little more.
I say, let her speak!
a trivia question.
..and I'm ashamed I hadn't thought of it first. The MINUTE her "hotness" begins to deteriorate, the base will be done with her.
Go ahead and laugh. But this really could happen. Its looking a lot like Stevens may win reelection. The senate will almost certainly vote to expel him. That will trigger a special election to replace.
My guess Palin vs Begich.
Palin will win with about 55% of the vote (she STILL has over 60% approval ratings in AK).
Mark my words. I didn't hear the boos when her name was mentioned during the concession speech, but I did hear someone yell "Sarah 2012!", and I did hear the cheers when McCain mentioned her name. She's got a taste for the spotlight now. And she's just dumb enough to think that an electoral routing means a mandate for her to run.
We will NEVER be rid of her.
She'll have a passel of 4 more retarded kids to tow around. Not including grandchildren and a daughter who 'walks into doors' a lot.
...and You KNOW Todd's got that GOP he man-disease. The one where Jesus told him to suck the gay out of men's penises?
That her base remains enamored of her. I want her to run in 2012. I would love for her to be their party's candidate. Can you imagine a debate between Cariboo Barbie and Obama?
Palin 2012. I can't imagine a better nominee to further complete the marginalization of the Republican party.
Oooh! Love it! Meow meow. Indeed Palin's moment of being the "hottest" VP candidate has come and gone. When she runs again, she may still have the votes of the brain-dead PUMAs who "like" her for her anti-choice hate rhetoric, but we can hope that perhaps now she will fade away to reality TV land, never to be heard from again amongst decent society. I am just thankful that there is a state where the voters are clearly dumber than they are here in Texas. If Alaskans still want that inarticulate bimbo, they can have her, and good riddance.
Is your title a reference to Jack Handy? It would be suitable, except that Handy does it on purpose.
I think that her answer was the first correct answer to a question posed to her since she foundered upon the scene. Why with a lot of hard work she might be able to speak in complete, coherent sentences. Isn't that super!! Her future looks bright.
I feel sorry for Levi. Now he's stuck with a batshit insane mother-in-law.

BAHAHAHA! M. Nuckolls, you almost made me spit out my hot chocolate! Indeed, the Palin family is heading back to crazy Alaska, where convicted felons get voted back into the Senate. Which is fine by me. I'm glad we are moving on and away from Sarah Palin. I wouldn't care if I never heard from her or her "first dude" again. Although, I think she'll be back one way or another unfortunately. Until then, I'm savoring the good fortune unleashed in the last 24 hours. Savor...
