Maybe the long campaign is making me delusional, but this is starting to seem like the end of some great epic story, where all the characters we've met along the way show up in the final battle to defeat the forces of evil.
I'm kind of expecting Hillary to carry Obama the last stretch into Mount Doom to so he can finally destroy W's precious.

I wonder how much of the backing that Obama is getting from various of the old guard would be missing or muted if the polls didn't look as good as they do.
Gore and his wife Tipper will both be participating in get-out-the-vote rallies Friday night in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
As laudable as get-out-the-vote rallies are, the Democrats really need to have count-the-vote rallies -- because clearly just getting to the polls isn't enough; you have to ensure that the votes cast are actually counted.
The Democrats need to ensure that people can get to the polls, and that "errors" and other assorted Republican voter fraud/suppression tactics won't disenfranchise those voters who took the time to get to the polls.
One of the things than ended my long, successful radio career in LA & San Francisco was referring to Al Gore as "America's first president in exile"...often!
Clear Channel didn't care for that.
Not just count the vote rallies, but count the vote ACCURATELY rallies!
