Couldn't they have gotten better clothes? Seriously, those clothes were ugly. They were had. Michael Jackson's m"Beat It" jacket has come back in all it's glory. Yikes.
SHE PAID RETAIL FOR THAT STUFF, TOO. For that she needs to be pilloried on the "you never by retail" rack of womanhood. It's anti-feminine. Shopping is a blood sport and only the victor gets spoils. NEVER PAY RETAIL. Paying retail is a sign of horrible judgement.
At Chicago Tribune they are reporting that her makeup artist made more than her foreign policy advisor. It showed.
Bad judgement, seriously.
The Republican National Committee paid for clothes and accessories for Palin, her little children, and her spouse so they would look their best while campaigning across our USA. If the RNC wanted Palin, her children, and her spouse to "put their best foot forward for our nation" and the RNC and its donors paid the tab, what's it to you "left wing liberals"? I don't think anyone is asking about the fashion tab for Michelle & Barack Obama and the Obama kids? And, I don't think any far left wing liber media types are asking for a full medical record on Barack Obama or investigating Obama's background and associations with ACORN in fixing this 2008 U.S. Presidential election!
Give it a rest - will you? Don't we, in this country, have more to be concerned about than haggling on expensive clothes purchased by the RNC for the Palin family to wear again and agin while campaigning for national office and then the Palins plan to donate the clothes to charity?
Are far left wing liberals so desperate for material, that they resort this low in an attempt to discredit a Vice Presidential candidate?
The writer of this piece and other piece on the same subject should be ashamed of themselves. Don't you realize that you are picking not only on a good and decent person, Sarah Palin, but on her innocent little children as well.
SHAME ON YOU FAR LEFT WING LIBERAL MEDIA TYPES!!!!!!!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!GOD BLESS McCLAIN/PALIN
Who give a fat rat's ass what the GOP and Palin do? Where are the solutions to the most pressing challenges facing our country:
1. The ecnonomy and the fact that we don't make anything anymore and every other country owns us.
2. The illegal immigrants who think that legal Americans should be feeding, clothing, educating, and otherwise rearing them and their kids and are creating chaos for our cities.
3. The environmental soup that has become the world.
4. The loss of collective, common good, values - the kind that come before narrow-minded special interest group bullshit that has come to mean, "it's all about me - me, me, me."
Egads, the John McCain we see on TV is wearing a $1000 makeup job. Hate to see what he looks like without it (anybody remember the 80's Movie "Death Becomes Her"?
Obama paid for his own clothing.....
Whish he would come out & tell us WHO paid for Colubia & Harvad Law School. He just keeps say it is no ones business & doesn't matter.
... We all know about the "Great Deal" he got on his house
through Resnick!!!!!
- Who cares! This is NOT tax payers money. This is money contributed by those supporting her & McCain. If you didn't contribute then you didn't pay for any of her clothes.
- Sarah Palin needed clothes to run in. She does not have the money that the other canidates have & has not been in politics for a hundred years. If you don't have the clothes needed, ya gotta go get 'em. Period.
- WHY was it not mentioned that Obama spend 10's of thousands of dollars "revamping" his jumo jet that he rents for the race????????????? Check Snopes, it is true! He had the entire out side repainted (with almost no change exept to remove the American flag on the tail & add his own "logo."
AND he had the inside entirely redone to suit him & his family.
They all spend money on travel, clothes etc... It is NOT tax-payers money OR in other words Government money.
McCain is accepting matching funds, which means that tax payers are currently on the hook for $75,000 to cloth the Palin clan. The issue is who is paying for this stuff and how Palin presents herself. Cindy McCain is heiress who spends a fortune on her cloths and nobody says anything about it because it is her money and she has never pretended to be an ordinary working American. Palin on the other hand is trying to present herself as just an ordinary American, but ironically the McCain campaign which apparently is full of elitiest couldn't stand the thought of Palin wearing anything but the most exspensive designer brands they could locate.
I can't imagine how they managed to spend $150,000. Anyone who claims that as a reasonable amount to cloth a high stature lady obviously has never actuall went shopping in highend stores. As a frequent browser of highend stores, I can say that I could easily cloth myself in a dozen designer power outfits for under $15,000. If I didn't care about the designers names and just went for the look, it would be well under $3000. I simple can not fanthom what they could have spent $150,000 on.
It has been established--and corrected by the NY Post--that Michelle Obama was not even staying at the hotel in question, therefore did not order lobster, caviar, or champagne. Get your facts straight and quit spreading false rumors.
It doesn't matter because the Obama's clothing isn't listed as an expense on the FEC report. Meaning they pay for their own clothing as it isn't entirely legal to pay for clothing with campaign funds according to the rules.
It is okay for the VP candidate to look good; vital, even. The candidate's attire could affect the ticket. If they had spent $1,500 sprucing up the candidate's wardrobe, I'd only yawn. $15,000 would get a serious double-take from me. $150,000 is simply beyond the pale. It's insulting. It's nauseating. Above all, it's poor judgment, and that matters.
