Flat screen TVs AND Mike & Ikes!
McNasty and the Whore
I doubt you would find something so disparaging on a right wing board.
On right wing board, something like McNasty would be tea and cakes compared to the bottom dwellers there. I'm so sick of this false equivalencies being pushed by Freeper Nation.
...is when the deplorable newspaper in my right-wing county in Western Oregon (where you expect headlines to read something like "TREE FALLS ON BAKER STREET LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION" or "HOP PRICES SKYROCKET ON NEWS OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD IS BAD) has just endorsed Obama. I am floored.
Thank you for being the arbiter of good taste on blogs.Who knew there were rules. Perhaps you might care to write us all a small discourse on acceptable behavior on blogs so we don't overstep the bounds of etiquette. As indicated above we will be sure to forward to the right wing hate site of your choice. I'm sure they will be most responsive to your suggestions.
Model citizens and civility centrals.
Where reasonable people can disagree.
I, for one, am really tired of insulting whores by comparing them to Sarah Palin.
I've known whores, I've served with whores, and let me tell you, Sarah Palin -- you are NO whore.
Let's all give the World's Oldest Profession a break, please. The insult that is Sarah Palin will pass soon enough!
According to Politico, in a post that War Room itself is linking to in it's own post on this, 100,000 is the estimate of the St. Louis Police Department. So this is not just the Obama campaign's claim.
Sweet!
I think if the conservatives can accept a small town mayor as capable of being a heart beat away from the presidency, that they should all be able to get behind someone who has found employment in the sex industry. Or at least Ashley Dupre as Secretary of the Interior...
Could it be that 100,000 people in Missouri are all socialists? Maybe they all thought it was a Volvo driving Latte sipping convention.
Ask John McCain why 100,000 people in Missouri hate America.
This can't be happening...didn't these people hear his robocalls!
The pictures of the event look like there were more than 100K there. More like 120K or higher.
Btw, I too would prefer that we continue to criticize the Republican ticket without sinking to the depths of the bottom-dwellers on right-wing boards.
100,000 people did not gather in St. Louis because the University of Missouri vs. Texas game is tonight. That game is being played in Texas so, if anything, it drew away from the crowd thousands of people who might otherwise have attended the rally. I will be watching Texas win tonight but I did not use my free afternoon to got to a John McCain rally. People went to see Obama because they want change and they believe Obama is the best chance for that change, not because they had a free afternoon.
Michelle Bachmann should strap on her riot gear and head right to Missouri which is obviously not just anti-American but Communist and probably terrorist as well. That shows you how low our country has sunk: evil lurks even in the heartland!
Be careful what you wish for if there is any truth to the rumour that Bachmann's recent breast-reduction surgery was a smoke-screen, and that she actually had POSITRONIUM ANNIHILATION GAMMA RAY LASERS installed. Just sayin'...
It's true... the crowd was HUGE!!!
Here are a couple of videos...

Missouri: Home of Mark Twain! Wonder what he would have to say about this.
Missouri, also home of Branson. Praise Jesus and kick out the Republicans!
The University of Missouri is in Columbia, not St. Louis, so even if there was a football game today, it would be well over 100 miles away.
I honestly am beginning to believe that our country is going to save itself. Please don't disappoint us America. Vote against the Republicans.
And to hopefully President Barack Obama, you are getting one hell of a job. Let's all hope (or pray or chant or hum or whatever) that you are up to it. You are going to need all the help you can get.
The headline should have said "Huge Obama crowd in St. Louis". Both Kansas City on the west side of the state, and St. Louis on the east are expected to turnout hugely for Obama. The question is, can our turnout in these urban & suburban areas overcome the McCain/Palin support in rural or what is sometimes called "outstate" Missouri? I certainly hope so, but I won't be surprised if Missouri stays in the red column on Election night.
What is really encouraging is that Obama is able to "assess the masses" and draw such supportive crowds and even, dare I say, win, despite the handicap of oppressive racism that, if you remember, Salon was saying would be insurmountable for him in the primaries. I suppose this fear was warranted by the fact that Democrats are more racist than the general populace, so that when the electorate includes Republicans and Independents, a black candidate has a real chance of a landslide.
I just got back home from the Obama rally in downtown St. Louis.
It was the most beautiful heart warming event that I ever experienced in my life. There were people everywhere, young, old, couples, and mostly families with young children who wanted to see Obama in person. I want to say way more than the reported 100,000, near 200,000 more like it. People were so nice and friendly with each other. The volunteers did a great job, passing out free bottle water. well organized.
Obama can move folks with his speech. He spoke about his mother's ordeal fighting cancer at age 53 at her deathbed, while insurance companies denied her. Obama says because of this tragedy it is a personal thing with him that every american has the rightto be insured free and without of this pre-exising condition loophole.
Go Obama.....
The crowd had nothing to do with a football game or the weather (the AP seemed to say McCain 4,000 supporters versus Obama's 100,000 was because it was "sunny" in St. Louis). This is another sign of the change, of the energy, of the excitement most of us have when we see or hear Barack Obama's message.
