Yes, he was a phony. OTOH, Foley was obviously a genuine Republican.

One might think Mahoney would have learned his lesson from former Rep. Mark Foley, as he currently occupies the disgraced Republican's old seat.

Republicans would be rallying to the defense of this scumbag assuming he had an R after his name. Non-republicans have principles that so often take precedence over party preference. Great to see.
Really, enough with the puritanical postures of politicians. I don't care what they do with their sex lives and I don't want them passing laws about mine. As long as they're consenting human adults, it's OK with me. And leave me alone while you're at it!
