Again, post-debate polls give it to Obama

The Democratic ticket has now come away with the victory in all three debates held so far.

The letters thread is now closed.

The problem is who you ask

All these cable news channels invalidated their own polls because they went out of their way to ask 'undecided' voters. An undecided voter isn't anyone I would trust to tie their own shoes without pitching headlong into the fryer at McD.

fact checking taxes

"tax" is the dirty word that republicans use when nothing else works. sadly, i've seen it work it's magic and i worry about its effect this year.

the "94 votes for taxes"-which is false-needs to be taken on.

check out:

problem is, it's so long and wordy. anyone know of a more concise document that can be shared?

I miss my PUMA girlfriends

Would they please come back and remind me why Hillary would have been a better pick for either the P or the VP nominee?

Reality

The most important event of the evening came after the debate during CNN's interview of its group of undecided voters.

When asked who won the debate they scored Obama 12, McCain 10, with the remainder undecided.

When they were asked who they would vote for if the election were held today they scored Obama 11, McCain 14.

Remember, we live in a country that elected George W. Bush... twice.

Never underestimate the American public's talent for voting against their own best interests.

In America the ignorant are the clear majority.

Except on Fox News

A call-in poll by its viewers on Fox found that McCain had won. The vote was 85% to 12%.

It should tell something about Fox News (in case it wasn't known already).

Who are these undecided voters, anyway?

We've had a year of these two-- if you don't have enough information to make a choice yet, you just haven't been paying attention. I'm afraid these mouth-breathers will be the ones who make a decision based on the inevitable "October surprise," when someone whispers in their ears that Obama is a Muslim Manchurian candidate or that McCain has a brace of illegitimate black children.

And we have to watch the candidates pander to these boobs for another month?

VP choice

@mikelx

I am not a PUMA and I voted for Obama in the Texas primary, but I got a really good reason HRC would have been a better choice than Joe Biden. When Obama was explaining why Health Insurance requirements should not be left to the states, Obama said that the companies would relocate (perhaps to Arizona) where requirements were lax so that they could continue to deny preexisting conditions and charge outrageous premiums. Not bad, until he compared the situation to the Banking industry where the same thing has already happened with credit cards. The banks moved to a state where laws are favorable for the kind of predatory behavior credit card companies engage in - DELAWARE!!!!

Gee, who has been state senator for Delaware since about the time (1972) when credit cards became the industry we know today???

Joe Biden, perhaps?

Bad analogy Obama - it appears the GOP slime radar missed this opportunity, but Obama needs to make sure no one thinks much about Joe Biden's cozy relationship with banks right about now.

@ cross1242

Yeah, call-in polls are as stupid as web polls -- maybe even more so.

Fox News call-in polls are beyond stupid. A silly exercise in self-validation.

@IndianaSmith- You're absolutely right

Even though, as Andersoon Cooper also noted after a conversation with Soledad O'Brien on CNN, that the Undecided voters in the studio were trending towards Obama better on their dial thing-a-ma-jigs, they STILL would vote for McCain.

Im afraid there is nothing that can be done now. To me, it was obvious that Obama won the debate, so much so that I felt it would be blazingly obvious to everyone who watched it. Obama seemed more in charge of what he was saying, and actually answering the questions that were being asked.

While I was watching the voter interviews, I kept getting a feeling that these undecided voters voting for McCain are like the folks you see at times at a fast food restaurant who have been there 1000 time yet still dont know what they want to order? "Lets see, uhhhhhhh.... hmmmm... well... I guess I'll get a Whopper with ba-.... no, that always gives me a stomach ache.... uhhhhhh... lets see... Yup Ill get a Whopper with bacon"...

I'd believe Drudge before I'd trust the left-wing, radical mainstream media abortion afficianados.

Well, of course you would.

I have a great financial deal for you on a bridge in Alaska. Interested?

Question @ THawk7

Please answer:

What do you consider good sources of UNBIASED news?

Instead of labeling the things you feel are leftist and radical, lets see you name the things that are not.

Obviously, the Drudge Report is number one on your list. Continue....

LOL!! Could you add a few more choice words for your run-on sentence? Such as, of course you would believe a right-wing, hypocritical, anti-choice, bigoted faux media outlet run by a closet queen.

Please leave the overly long, adjective laced sentences to the pros.

I think the Wall Street Journal is not bad. But I think the internet generally, with its news about everything all the time, is a great source if you know how to recognize propaganda. When someone says "Obama dominated" yesterday's debate, you know you've found a dud. I like Dick Morris. He's an insider with insider knowledge.

But I see nothing wrong with talking to people and craftily determining their voting probabilities. I even attended a democrat caucus to see what I would see. There is alot of racism in the democrat party-- in fact, it is the racist party. Indeed, they are violent people. I truly believe that.

When elections are within a few percentage points, nobody can predict it. I don't think this one is within a few percentage points. I believe McCain is clearly ahead.

@comeandtakeit

My company is a very large bank that is not based in Delaware, yet we run a credit card center in New Castle, Delaware.

I can't complain. We didn't "move" there, but we do operate part of the business in Delaware.
