...I'm obsessed too but am watching online and CNN dosen't have it online. Damn them.
I'm watching the meter feed. It's funny but I'm seeing the Republicans rating Senator Obama higher than either Democrats or independents for alot of the time. What's up with that?
Yes, in presidential elections the taller candidate nearly always wins, GWB being one of the exceptions.
Obama needs to use the word short a few times, perhaps talking about McCain coming up short on various issues. This will get viewers thinking about how short McCain is.

It's under "Voters rate debate performances"
CNN's help sight says the PC people get a better stream!
I'm not watching on an HDTV, but I'm watching the Men/Women Uncommited Lines. Women are loving Barak, men not as much.
McCain is scoring about the same as Brokaw.
Here we go! Obama is going to raise taxes! I love how McCain talks about fixing the economy and that's as far as his answer goes. We're going to fix it...And that's all.
Didn't Senator Obama address that in the first debate?
"REALITY: Roughly 97% Of Small Business Would Not Be Affected By Obama’s Tax Plan"
Obama's trying to point that out but Brokaw isn't letting him.
Brokaw has just made it possible for McCain to tell lies without giving Obama the opportunity to call him on it. I think that's what football players call "a hole."
Everybody has to propose tax cuts. And every Republican has to accuse every Democrat of wanting to raise taxes. And it's a side issue!
Taxes already are low. We cannot cut them any more. Phony issue.
I'm a dork
is pushing that "my friends" like Palin was pushing "maverick." Ugh. It sounds so disingenuous.
Interesting point about the furniture making McCain look short. Other factors being equal, Americans generally vote for the taller candidate.
While both candidates have a pre-9/11 (2008) mindset, my (vastly reduced) money is still on Senator Obama. Concerning "entitlement" programs however, I would like one of them to address how Social Security has been robbed consistently since the 1980s. The program would be solvent if hadn't been raided to pay for other government spending.
"We're going to fix it." They keep saying that. The never say how. Both McCain and Palin have claimed that they will "get rid of" all the greed and corruption in Washington and on Wall Street. Laughable on the face of it, but then again... Bush claimed that he would rid the world of evil. So I'm glad to see they're dialing back to specific, achievable, measurable goals.
In the beginning, McCain was registering about as high as Obama for his responses. Obama's readings continue to be high, but McCains are staying pretty close to neutral and even dipping occasionally into negative territory. (Based on CNN's responses from uncommitted Ohio voters.)
The 94 times claim flies again.
Can Senator Obama rebut it this time? Nope.
Oh, and all that Tip O'Neil and Reagan bipartisanship stuff is a long time ago. The GOP is lots nastier these days.
Palin gave that same line about voting 94 times for raising taxes or against tax cuts - it was debunked, and also shown that by the same criteria they're counting, McCain's voted something well over 300 times for the same things. Why would he bring it up again when it's been disproved? Seems . . . I don't know. That's a strange strategy.
and it shows. McLame is rambling on and on about stuff he does not believe or understand. Brokow has cut Obama off on several occasions. Its not even subtle.
...Are they ever gonna tie Eye-rack into this economical talk? What about all that borrowed money we have wasted there? That is the biggest economic factor. Nail McCain with it.
I'm glad you brought up the chair thing, Alex -- I noticed it as well. McCain definitely got reamed on the seating. Obama should run hard with that... "McCain is trying to sell the country short; his desire to shrink spending is dwarfed by the size of the problems our country faces. We can only look down on his little tax plan. This is a time for a broad, long view, not tiny, short-term solutions."
just imply that lights weren't enough to alert him that his time was up? That he needed a little WAVE?! What is happening?
I'm getting a kick out of watching this audience-reaction thing on CNN.com. (BTW, if you're working on a Mac, try watching with RealPlayer.) When McCain talks about health insurance -- good luck ever getting insurance on your own, Senator, with all your pre-existing conditions -- the line is absolutely flat. Are people indifferent, in awe, or asleep when he talks?
Whoa! My "friend" just told me we don't have time for on the job training. Has anyone introduced him to his running mate?
It makes McCain look horrible. Obama looks like a GQ photoshot.
Yes, the stool made him look short, but so did that bright red tie that hung down to his crotch. Handlers?
