Who Palin pals around with

The problem is that pointing out the whackjobs that Palin associates with in blogs and letters isn't as powerful as a candidate making statements on national television. Now I know that Obama and Biden have too much class to call out Plain and McCain on their questionable associations, but when is the MSM going to publish front page articles about Palin's crazy witch-huntin' pastor, for example?

One number I would really like to see

The Polls are reporting the number of self-identified Republicans and Democrats. I would be very curious to see a comparison between that number and the number of voters who have Registered as Republican and Democrat for primary purposes. My sense of the situation is that the number of people self-identifying in a manner contrary to their registration is negative for the Republicans (more Republicans don't recall or don't admit that they are registered as Republican, or have not got around to changing their registration (Self-Identified-Rep < Registered-Rep), while for the Democrats it is positive (Self-Identified-Dem > Registered-Dem). If this ration is very high, then the Republicans are in a lot of trouble -- they have repelled even people who were willing to registered Republican.

@Sandy Yago

You are a classic case of what has happened in the American education system. Lots of ability to blindly regurgitate discrete facts with no ability to critically think about an issue or analyze it.

In case you haven't noticed, Barack Obama has no ties whatsoever to the Weather Underground. He was a young child when their deeds took place. Since those many decades passed, Ayers himself has changed to become an estemmed, tenured professor of education who works with many prominent Chicago politicians (including the mayor) and businessmen in regards to education. Barack Obama was merely ONE of those people.

Only an idiot would conflate Barack Obama's political life and history with the deadly actions of a young and radical student several decades ago. However, this is pretty much the level that you are on Sandy. You are far happier dealing with irrelevancies than with the concrete reality that our economy has been virtually destroyed by greed, a near-total lack of leadership and a systematic gutting of oversight orgs by the Bush administration. The same can be said of our involvement in Iraq.

But this is the great strategy we are now to hear from the McCain camp. No big ideas to trnaform our economy, just a lot of smears and lies. Good luck on election day because you'll need it.

Right-on MacK

I don't think I can add one word to the post by MacK that analyzes the present state of the Republican Party - reduced to screaming political obscenities in an airport hangar by a candidate with a tenuous grip on reality.

I only wish that there was someway to communicate my admiration for his work, directly.

Of course not!

Afterall Obama is sane. Even if he supported the bailout of Wallstreets crooks and cheaters, his view of the USA is realistic and not based on the co-existance of man and Dinosaurs 6000 years ago as this governess of bridges to nowhere wants us to believe.

Racism has already showed its ugly face and WE AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET.Bet on it. The "N" word is already being used, privately, and the White Baptist Churches are on board already. They are using the "N" word and bragging about it. I've heard them.

Obama and Ayers

Supposedly, Obama didn't become friendly with Bill Ayers, whom he described as "just a neighbor," until about 1994 when Obama was recruited by Ayers and his pals to become chair of the CAC board. Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn helped Obama with fundraising for his Illinois campaigns. Then again, perhaps Obama met Ayers earlier than 1994 since Bernadine Dohrn was with the Sidley Austin law firm, which is where Obama interned and where he met his future wife Michelle Robinson. Also interesting to speculate that Obama met Ayers at Columbia, since both were students there at the same time (Ayers at Bank Street College). Believe the NY Times did its usual poor vetting of Obama on this one.

Palin the Ignorant!!!

I didn't know Palin had a clue what a terrorist was????? Maybe she was briefed on that before the debate too??? She is to much like George W Bush on terrorist's. They are in Iraq so we have to confine them there (she said that somewhere)! That's the battleground for terrorism. I guess she has never figured out yet they are all over the middle-east and the world??? We even have a lot of 'homegrown terrorist's' in this country! And these people wonder why they have no credibility left except with right wing lunatics who would believe anything? But, it's obvious she and McCain are running scared. The election is really going to take a ugly turn before November the 4th.

A few things

First off, MacK, that was brilliant. That could be it's own article here.

Secondly, most people have no idea who Palin's talking about except the political junkies, so this seems like the cliche of Al Queada wants Obama to win, Kerry loved Saddam Hussein, etc. line of attack that isn't selling as well as it used to. It's tired. I bet more than half of Palin's crowd had no idea of what she was talking about, just wanted a chance to Boo Obama.

Thirdly, at first I hated how nasty the primaries got, and thought it would have left Hillary or Obama bruised. It did, but I think it's GOOD he went through it. We already know about Ayers, Wright, etc. It's not like the RW couldn't/wouldn't have found these things out on their own. Now if we see Wright footage (or Ayers attacks) it's old news. FOX can only run the clips again so many times and even their viewers will change the channel. The rest of the MSM already did those stories and won't find anything "new" or exciting in them.
