They will both spread more lies because they want to focus attention away from the economy. They should direct their energy toward telling us how they would work to fix the mess created by 8 years of ineptitude in the White House but they can't because they don't have a clue. If, God forbid, they are elected, they will just continue the failed policies of Bush. I hope in the upcoming debate, Obama hits a homerun by pushing Mc Cain to define his plan and then hits another homerun when he tears it to shreds.

Mc Cain is an old man who will do anything to win this election - including selling his soul. He once opposed Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy - Now he wants to make those cuts permanent. He once referred to Jerry Fallwlll and Pat Robertson as "intolerable" - then he chooses a far right extremist just like them to be his running mate! This is NOT a maverick - this is a conniving, me-first, dangerous LIAR.

Americans are not stupid and I hope they realize that this negative campaigning is being done to take attention away from the real issues. Let's hope this disgusting strategy backfires as fast as Palin's candidacy is imploding. You betcha!

Sarah pals around with and warmly ENDORSES a secessionist party in the state she governs. Why isn't this covered much by the main stream media?

I am a Democrat. My preferred candidate was/is Hillary Clinton. But that's history. I am moving on and supporting the Democratic party generally even though I am not thrilled with the Presidential nominee. I certainly know Senator Obama is no terrorist. And his being an acquaintance of Bill Ayers in no way attests to this ridiculous assertion by Governor Palin. That being said, I find it not at all surprising that the McCain Campaign would allow this unfounded attack to be made by Governor Palin. After witnessing the Obama Campaign stand silent, making no attempt at refuting the ridiculous assertion that Bill Clinton was a racist when it was circulating during the Democratic primaries, they should be neither surprised nor defensive. As Bill Clinton says "politics is a contact sport." I would add "it's not touch football." I suspect things will get uglier. Senator Obama needs to play hardball and push back or risk the fate of Senator Kerry and Vice President Gore.

Yes, I am all too aware that this is serious business and it's going to get even uglier from the Reps and I'm wondering how the Dems will respond. Sleepless, nauseous, cranky-pantalones describes much of my political mood of late.

THEREFORE...I really needed some of the laughs I got reading some fine posts here tonight. Trying to parse non-gender-specific insults was a hoot in and of itself. It's impossible to give credit wherever credit is due, so I'm thanking everyone and going for my select "highlights reel."
