For a woman who can't even answer questions she has to resort to Rove like tactics. We as Obama supporters have to fight this battle. Barack should stay on message and let us fight back. How low can the American people sink if they put her in office? We were the laughing stock of the world with Bush/Cheney, can you imagine a mccain/PALIN ticket? The right wing will off mccain within a year if he is elected and put the c..t in power. I'm convinced that has been their objective since they forced mccain to put her on the ticket. Todd Palin was for seven years, until Sarah Palin' ran for Lt. Governor, a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, which calls for the state to leave the United States of America. By all accounts, Barack Obama's ties to Bill Ayers were "not close," while I suspect, based on number of children produced, that Ms. Palin' has had pretty darned close ties to that secessionist rebel. I hope and suspect that both Mr. Biden and Mr. Obama will not lower themselves to this level of discourse. But I also hope that those of us who know Ms. Palin's close ties to a man who wanted to renounce his U.S. citizenship will make sure all our right-wing acquaintances know about it.

As I was reading this article, I heard Palin's irritating nasal voice from the TV in the kitchen. Then I saw her smug face and what-the-hell-are-you-smiling-at smile (if she's talking about supposed terror matters, shouldn't she be serious, at the very least?). So, yes, she has now crossed over the line, and can be called a first-class bitch.

McCain's campaign has announced that the next four weeks will be spent attacking Sen. Obama's character. So, please someone, God, anyone, tell me that at least 51% of the American public will not buy this desperate last gasp of an embarassment of a campaign.

It is even worse than what everybody thinks. Piper has learned sign language and is showing her displeasure to an Obama supporter!

Well, since the 'liberal, Washington, elite' media gave her a free pass after the debate -- equating "not embarrassing herself" with "holding her own," and not really making too big a deal that she didn't answer any question that she thought was not worth answering (in other words, questions she had no answer to) -- she feels empowered to sling shit around. Unlike the recent blanket accusation I recently saw that claims that because I am from Chicago, I am a brainwashed liberal Jew (???), I would actually think twice about Obama (not to say I would then ever, in a farfillion years, consider McCain) if someone could give me something real, something that goes against my values and proves that he is lowly. So far, the political machine is batting about as well as Kosuke Fukodome in that regards.

Many Americans start off with the assumption that the USA is wonderfully good, best-ever. They taught this to us in school. Many (most?) Americans do no even get it if you take any other approach.

Voters may say, "Well, good! Sarah's tellin' it right!" We will see in a month.

McCain pals around with a guy who helped bring down Washington Mutual and Countrywide.

McCain pals around with Phil Gramm who is central to the deregulation that allowed Wall Street to collapse.

Governor Palin did not accuse Obama of 'palling around with terrorists'. She pointed out a known fact, but which the MSM and his Jim Jones-minded followers refuse to see as something of a problem. A lot of people spend a lot of time defending Obama against a lot crap, most of which is true. What they cannot seem to do is name just one person that Obama has known in his lifetime who has not been tied to terrorism, criminal activity or just plain unsavory behavior. Any takers?

Many years ago when I was a young idealistic person, I mentally cataloged the various ways one could insult someone by swearing at them, seeking non-sexist, non-gender-specific epithets I could use to get my point across without having to fight a rear-guard action of being accused of being sexist.

Unfortunately most common English swear words have gender-specific connotations. But there are a couple that can be deployed for Sarah Palin that will leave no doubt that she is being insulted for something other than her gender: dumbass and asshole. The first is particularly apt for the Couric interviews, and the second applies well to her vicious, fact-free attacks on Obama.

So we can assume that the buckets of sleaze we've seen up to this point has been McCain's idea of "positive campaigning?" Is it my imagination, or has John McCain already caused a problem for himself by impulsive, poorly thought out theatrical actions? Did he or did he not pretend to suspend his campaign the week before last and ride in on a white horse to "save us" from the financial situation he helped to create through his obsessive love of deregulation.

Oh yah, John, go negative. That'll fix up your campaign, you betcha. Your approval ratin' will go through the roof, doggone it.

Why not suspend your campaign now? You'll finish in November with about the same percentage of the vote, and you may actually salvage some tiny fragment of dignity you haven't already sold out if you abjure campaigning rather than going negative.
