As the grey whales migrate up the coast near Santa Barbara, great white sharks attack and try to savage their young. The mommy whales try to swim between their young and the great sharks and try to beat them away with their flukes. The mother whales are very brave, sometimes ending up badly injured or killed and eaten themselves. They do not sue the sharks for peace. They fight for their lives and for the lives of their young.
