And the award goes to ...

CREW has released its fourth annual tally of the most corrupt members of Congress; there are a lot of familiar names on the list.

The letters thread is now closed.

The award should be...

handcuffs, an orange suit, a perp walk and a long, enforced vacation.

CREW rocks. Some of these "public servants" are gratuitously dishonest.

Curious

I was surprised to see Charles Rangle and Jack Murtha on the list. I'm curious as to what garnered this honor for them.

For one thing

Rangel is currently under investigation here in New York for some pretty shady real estate shenanigans.

Rangel

He was found guilty of not reporting income form property he owns offshore. i think he opewd 5 thousand dollars. Claims it was an oversight.

Documentation?

Without any documentation as to just how any of these people are "corrupt," it is simply unfounded innuendo, and beneath contempt. Let's see something.

Wow

I really need to proofread before I hit submit- dyslexic fingers.

I can't believe no one from North Carolina is there

We don't elect people UNLESS they have major business interests in their own districts. And our Senators ADMIT being nothing but tools for the RNC.

@barryaus

hey, there's these thingies in webposts called hyperlinks.

They take you to places like the CREW website where you can learn things like "CREW also has launched the report’s tandem website, www.CREWsMostCorrupt.org, which offers short summaries of each member’s transgressions as well as the full-length profiles and all accompanying exhibits."

too bad you were being all whatever you were being and missed that.

Hyperlinks

Sorry, but there were hyperlinks in the article for only four of them, not for all of them. There was a hyperlink for the original CREW report, but it also had just a list.

Much as I do deplore political corruption, I would prefer more than innuendo.

Louisiana reps shouldn't count

It's impossible to get elected in Louisiana without being corrupt. Using Huey Long as the gold standard, these Dems probably aren't that bad.

George Miller

Isn't George Miller, CA a democrat? and Pelosi's best friend in the congress?

barry

The CREW page that the Salon article links to does indeed just show the same list, but it also links to the full report, which is in turn a list where each name has a link that leads to a specific description of the wrongdoing. In case you missed it, it is here:
