The stable map

Taking a break from all Palin, all the time, notice how similar the map looks compared with the last two cycles.

Not up to date, at all

There have been no state polls in tossup states since the Dem. convention ended, because of the Labor Day weekend.

This map represents the race as it stood when McCain and Obama were basically tied in national polls. Even then, some other sites have Ohio, Nevada, Virginia, Montana in Obama's column, not McCains.

Now that Obama has opened a significant lead of 5 to 9 points (I've seen 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 today) in National polls, the electoral vote map will change as those individual states are polled.

I would guess - NV, OH, VA, MT, maybe FL, ND, and NC will likely all lean toward Obama.
