I was pleased to see Senator Obama tell his supporters that Palin's daughter was off limits. Senator McCain should have told his people that.
Dragging Palin's pregnant daughter and baby-daddy to the convention? Trying to make political hay with pro-lifers, while choice, contraception, and sex-ed advocates are supposed to ignore them?
Shame!
More like Secret Service nine mills.
He's just a kid that messed around and knocked up his girlfriend. He didn't ask for, nor does he deserve to be mocked by thousands of people he doesn't know.
No wonder the red states thing we're a bunch of elitist jerks.
....ah... great... drag the teen-aged "fucking redneck" kid in front of a national audience, right before his shotgun wedding..... jeez... talk about pandering to the redneck, white trash audience.
Where in the world are you getting this bit about Palin wanting to outlaw abortion? Everything I've read about her indicates she is pro-life, but has shown absolutely no inclination to work toward repealing Roe v. Wade. I believe I read that, if anything, Palin believes the legality of abortion should be decided by individual states. Also, you're neglecting to address the very real possibility that Palin's daughter asked that her boyfriend (fiance?) appear at the convention with her. Would it be so surprising that a 17-year old girl whose private life already constitutes fish wrapping (a phenomenon enabled by Daily Kos - apparently with an assist from Axelrod) might desperately desire the physical presence of the father of her unborn child?
BTW, your last post seems a bit over the top for you. What happened?
Has anyone submitted "Free Levi" t-shirt?
Theory: Sarah Palin sees nothing wrong with her pregnant teenage daughter marrying as a result of her accidental pregnancy because she herself was pregnant when she married Bristol's father. They wed on 8/29/88 and their son Track was born circa (oddly, all one can find online is a conjectured day of birth, which is very unusual–-although the month appears to be confirmed) 4/20/89. It's possible that he was just shy of exactly 8 months of gestation at birth, but my guess would be that they didn't (as the official spin goes) elope to avoid an expensive wedding–-they eloped because a pregnancy test came back positive.
I have never been for McCain. I am supporting Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party, which has an even better prochoice platform than the Democrats.
One might overlook and even understand anti-choice types who want to draw a line somewhere else in the trimester scheme of Roe v. Wade, but there is nothing feminist about trying to force 12 year old girls to have their father's children. That is what Sara Palin is for. Do you research?
I am not interested in what she might do or might not do. Her on the record statements say plenty about what she would do if she had the power.
One heartbeat away from the presidency? NO WAY!
John McCain's pick of her is utterly cynical.
