As awful as the Palin choice is from a governing perspective, it remains to be seen what it's merits are from a purely political perspective.
Ask yourself how George Bush was elected twice. His team knew how to play the media and make the elections about little things revolving around personalities and how we like/don't like the candidates rather than about the issues or either candidate's ability to govern. Al Gore's sighs anyone? Kerry windsurfing?
SO bear that in mind as the Palinalia continues to dribble out bit by bit. Dragging this kid to the convention in an intentional attempt to continue to distract and keep the story on nothing for as long as possible. Let's not respond to every little drip or drop as if the future of the Republic rests on it.
It only does if we take our eye off the ball.
