Dobson says he'll vote for McCain-Palin

The prominent evangelical leader has been reticent about supporting John McCain, so his move may signal how happy social conservatives are with the choice.

The Deadliest Catch

Oh, Alex, Alex...

...don't be so naive. Did you think Dobson was ever likely to endorse anyone but McCain, no matter who was picked for veep? Do you think this endorsement wasn't already ready/planned/expected immediately after Palin's selection was announced? Do you think that this entire "event" wasn't planned to steal the thunder from Obama's acceptance speech just last night?

Good grief, Alex! Give the Republicans their due -- they are doing everything they can to derail the Obama Express by taking away the usual convention bounce. And the media is doing its part so far, right according to the GOP script.

Friday, August 29, 2008 03:26 PM

Big Surprise.

Dobson would support a Michael Moore/Barbra Streisand ticket if they were somehow the choice of the GOP.

Dobson, like most of his fellow prominent religious right pundits is a phoney-baloney bottom-dweller who wouldn't think twice about selling his soul and his grandmother if it made him more money. The motto of these folks is "Talk Jesus/Think Corporate." He yammers on and on about things like "teh gheys" and abortion 'cause it gets dimwits and bigots to send him cash.

Friday, August 29, 2008 03:42 PM

No, Alex....

It shows how desperately worried they were about the base. Obama's is solid, McCain's is shaky and suspicious. My guess is that they looked at their internal poll numbers last night after The Speech and just panicked. And the way they jerked Tim Pawlenty around yesterday makes me think I'm right.

But a Hail Mary PR stunt still won't make up for the fact that — even with some of the Christian right energized over this woefully unqualified woman — McCain will be out-financed, and out-organized, come November.

Politically astute

to pander to the base which should have been a gimme?

What universe are Salon writer's living in?

Even TMZ knows this is a disaster for the Republicans?

But not at Hillary central.

And Tomorrow the Sun Will Rise in the East and Set in the West

Alert me when Dobson does something unpredictable, otherwise we can all assume he's on evangelical auto-pilot.

Dobson/Palin

Has anybody pointed out to Focus on the Family that Palin will be leaving her five children, as well as her husband to head out and campaign non-stop? Has anyone pointed out to them that John and Cindy McCain live apart most of the time? What if they win? Does Palin move her whole dog and pony show to Washington DC? Does Cindy McCain move full time into the White House? Why does anybody pander to James Dobson? They are all completely removed from reality.

Tell us something we didn't aready know.

Anyone out there who actually thought that Dobson and his kind weren't going to support and vote for the Republican ticket, whoever is on it, is a moron. They talk big, largely in an effort to bully their candidate into placating them which, of course, he did; however, they would have abandoned their so called "principles" in a heartbeat, just to prevent the Dems from gaining the White House. To suggest otherwise is absurd.

The fact is that Dobson and his colleagues on the religious right are so narrow minded, so uncaring of the real needs of this country, and so uncaring about its future and its security, that they are prepared to put a warmongering, demented old man with melanoma in the White House, with a sidekick whose qualifications are having been a small time beauty queen, a soccermom, a city councilwoman in a town of 9,000, and 18 months as the Governor of Alaska, during which time she managed to make herself the subject of a federal investigation for her actions in office.

Let's see - which VP candidate is best qualified to answer that national security call to the White House at 3:00 a.m. - Sarah Palin or Joe Biden? Why - Ms. Palin, of course. After all, she's anti-abortion, she's anti gay marriage, and she loves guns, exactly what Dobson and his right wing colleagues think best qualify Ms. Palin to be Vice President and, wery possibly, President, which she stands a good chance to be if McCain gets in.

By the way, all this ought to be scaring the hell out of you.

Was There Ever A Doubt?

Of course Dobson will vote for McCain. Dobson is a Republican and Republicans must vote their Party ticket, no matter what.

Nothing new here.

Stop the hand wringing already!

Please view Palin's intro speech:

http://www.breitbart.tv/html/163813.html

She has the gravitas of McCain’s cute administrative assistant.

She's perky and folksy alright, in the same way that a contestant on a game show is. At 3:00 a.m. will she be ready for the next round of Family Feud?

Both McCain and she dredged up her PTA experience to shore up her credentials.

In the next few days, we can expect videos of her beauty pageant days uploaded on Youtube. We’ll see how she tackled the world’s most pressing problems while standing in a bathing suit. I’m sure she answered some super tough questions as a contestant.

UGH !

Social conservative ? When it comes to raking in the filty lucre the evangel gang is not conservative or social nor is there anything religious about them . They claim to be followers of the word Christ but when it comes to what Christ said in Mathews 6 ver 1 & 2 they look the other way . John Mc is still the same playboy he was before he picked his VP nor has his wife treatment changed . He makes one wonder if his new VP is one of his toys .

Hot News! Dobson Endorses the Republican

Seriously? An astute move? Was there every any doubt that Dobson would ultimately endorse the Repug? The question is whether the entire Evangelical base is willing to put this Boopsie a heartbeat away from the Oval Office. God created the world in six days, no problem. But this woman as Leader of the Free World, uh-uh. I don't think they buy it.

Salon gets closer to that MSM-quality bar stool "analysis" every day.

Dobsons Prayer Failure

This wonderful God fearing Jesus loving Christian urged his followers to pray for rain in Denver on the night of Obamas acceptance speech. What a wonderful example he is for Christians everywhere.

No he didn't. You're thinking of someone else.
