Salon caught up with Montana's governor Thursday, a few hours before Barack Obama's acceptance speech.

What a wasted interview.

You didn't ask him; "It has been reported that you went off the reservation in your convention speech. Is it true that your original text had been approved by the Obama campaign and/or the DNC?"

"How did you go about veering away from what had been loaded into the TelePrompter for you?"

"Can you detail what it was you ad-libbed, versus what had been approved?"

"Have there been any repercussions for your unapproved comments?"

"Beforehand, did you have any response to the 'apporved' speech text? In other words, did you complain that you had more, or different, things to say?"

Priceless

He's got a problem right now because his base doesn't really support him. I don't know a single Republican in Montana who would get in a fight in a bowling alley for John McCain. Brian Schweitzer

I hope the dems keep up the energy change builds the economy improves national security stops terrorists creates jobs pays for healthcare avoids global warming mantra. Might actually work.

Self-effacing

Self-effacing? Schweitzer might be a lot of things--good and bad--but self-effacing is not one of them. You Warroom folks become more out of touch on a daily basis.

There is a film on Montana PBS which shows Schweitzer bullying a high school kid...does that sound self-effacing to you? His Lt. Governor, John Bolinger is the epitome of self-effacing--and not much a Republican--thank god.
