I think you have it right, Schnitzler. That ad is like something out of a movie, doing a parody of a desperate political campaign.

The proper response to it should be "is that all you got?"

But in this case, the attack is the message. It's obvious this ad is meant to goad Dems into fighting tit for tat and go after McCain about his half-sister. That's what the GOP wants - better to focus on non-issues than to press them on their war record, illegal wiretaps, extra-legal renditions, torture, the economy, yada yada yada. You Obama supporters want to get even? Then get smart and forget all these so-called 'family' issues. As Bill once said, It's the economy, stupid.

McCain's got plenty of cheek to poke at Obama for not supporting his brother when his own wife lies regularly about being an "only child." That's quite a shock to the two half-sisters she's utterly ignored and who live in the middle class thanks to her inheriting most of their father's wealth -- which is precisely what bought The Songbird his 10 homes...

Please do your homework people, Cindy McCain's sister did receive money from her father, including paying for her college education and money left to her from his estate, not alot, but something. George Obama, is a proud man, who explains that he is living a good life, despite his living conditions. He wants to go to school to become a mechanic, to better his life and future. Sen. Obama saw his brother 5 years ago when he visted Africa. Don't you think, if you are preparing to run for president, knowing his youngest brother did not know his father also, would want to reach out and help this young man. It would not take much. Money put in escrow in a bank to pay for his education, and improve his his living condidtions. When I read posts that this man is a drug addict, etc. is shameful! When Obama, brings out his other half siblings, and is proud of them, as he should be, he should also be proud to help George to live not an American Dream, but an African Dream!!! To inspire fellow African's that life can be better, and if George Obama, if given the opportunity, I am sure he can make a differance in Kenya, as his brother has in the United States!

The reason Cindy McCain rates lower than pond scum on the vegetation chart is because, in her eulogy to her father she referred to herself as "his only child", while her half sister sat in the front pew looking on.

Where did you get this information. I haven't seen anything either indicating that Cindy used "his only child" in her eulogy, or that this half-sister was in attendance.

I do know the half-sister claims the credit card stopped working either the day before or after the funeral.

Do we even have proof that Cindy knew of this half sister? While her son claims there was contact, we only have his side of the story.

It's also odd, how this would rate someone, who has literally risked her life personally providing medical care to the poor, as lower than pond scum.

Someone who paid for and led and accompanied a medical team to Rwanda during the height of the holocaust there in order to save lives, is someone now pond scum for not acknowledging a half-sister she may or may not have know about.

How does this rate Obama, who we know for certain was aware of his half-bother, yet offered nothing at all.

So one example where Obama has risked his life to help someone less fortunate. That example doesn't exist.

Do you propose that all the relatives of all the cadidates are traced back to their various roots or do you ONLY uphold this standard for Obama? Are there other "half" brothers out there that his father abandoned and whom Obama is no responsible for?

No, there's no need to try and find relatives, but if you have a half brother whom you have met, and you can dramatically help him out and this help creates no burden at all for you, then yes you should do so.

Especially if you are trying to pass yourself off as some type of kind and caring person.

The Obama's, while soldily upper middle class, gave a pathetic 1% to charity of any kind. Only when they became both rich and running for national office did they break 5%.

Yes, I know exactly what their financial obligations were at the time, because it's public knowledge. For people who made over a quarter of a million per year to give 1% to charity, including their church, is pathetic.

Judging Obama on the amount he gives to charity - ignoring the fact that as a Harvard grad he could've made real big money and chose to help the poor of his community (have you?) instead is just another example of racism expressed as a "social" or "experience" concern.

Could have made real big money, as in the millions from his book deals? Obama didn't pass up millions to help the poor, he made millions while showing no appreciable achievement for his "community organizing."

Have I personally helped the poor. Yes, I've personally taken a number of poor people off the street, purchased them vans (it's something you can sleep in) and set them up with jobs. Not as part of some group or charity, but on my own.

I've also set up and supported shelters for the homeless and abused women, I give a healthy donation every year to the local animal shelter. We give hundreds every month to charity on top off all this.

I've personally done more to socially help people less fortunate than I than any type of record of Obama's.

Oddly, I don't even come close to considering myself as a big charitable giver.

Like so many Obama supporters, you cry racism to any legitimate criticism of your candidate. Obama has no record of accomplishment, no record of enacting the type of change he advocates, no record of even social justice. In the latter he can't even pass the low bar set by average middle class people.

Yet to you, these glaring omissions in resume must really disguise the fact he's black and that's why people don't support him.

It speaks to Obama's weakness in experience that his supporters try to use his race as a shield to deflect all criticism.
