I wish more people would be focused on FISA, impeachment and torture than the laughable fantasy of a Obama-Clinton ticket.
I wish more people would be focused on FISA...
I wish the same thing. Especially since Obama totally flipped on his promise on FISA.
No wonder he isn't further ahead. People have his number.
Clinton's to much of a distraction to have on the ticket.
She really would add nothing, and push more voters away than she would bring. These Clinton hanger ons, are just worried about their own status and jobs.
No flip by Obama. Obam said he wold vote agnsit ;lTlecom immunty and he did. The Senate Demcrats do not have enough votes to does for a filibuster, even if they all voted Yay. YOu need to get over the Telecom issue.
So childish of you to give a damn about the Constitution, or the expect the Democratic candidate to keep his word. Stop caring about unimportant stuff, like freedom, honor, and integrity.
I really don't think you should be ordering other people around and telling them what to think.
And Obama did flip on the issue, one that affects the Constitution. Now, he may very well be picking a vice presidential candidate who is pro-life. It's a bad situation, and people have a right to be upset about it. If you want to live in a free country, you might want to think about obliterating the words 'Get over it' from your vocabulary.

I would shut down too, if I realized it was pointless and that things are being decided by other factors that the average person isn't aware of. I saw this video and I too won't bother!
I don't think Hillary ever wanted the VP slot, no matter what she and others have said publicly. She wants to be seen as a party loyalist, so she said, of course, that she'd like to be considered and would be willing to run with Obama if he wanted that. BUT -- if Obama wins, he's probably in for 8 years. She'd be better off as a prominent senator than a subordinate VP under that scenario. If Obama loses, Hillary's better off in 2012 not having been part of a losing ticket this year.
why would Obama want to run with a spare tire tied around his waist? Now, the Hillster has more time to bake cookies and monitor Big Bill so he doesn't free his willie again. and again. good friggin' riddance.
That is such a tiresome spin on Obama's craven capitulation on FISA!
It's not just that the FAA (FISA Amendment Act) gives immunity to the telcoms -- it also shields elected officials from past, present -- and possibly even future -- lawbreaking activities. It, in essence, paves the way for the Rule of Men to take precedence over the Rule of Law.
You are oh so wrong.
I'd love to hear Obama explain his FISA vote. At first blush, I don't like it at all, either. I do not labor under the illusion Barack is anything resembling a perfect candidate. While we wait for that infallible person, the ice caps over the poles will melt entirely, and then freeze over.
Obama voted for the DODD amendment to the FISA bill concerning the Telecom issue. It did not pass. It is not Obama's fault it did not pass. He did not flip on the issue. There a few Glenn groupies who I suspect have never read the new FISA bill, and ignore all other liberal legal experts views of FISA.
I somehow think maybe you are really right torlls who never supported Obama in the first palce.
I'm waiting to see who Obama picks for VP. I have expressed my views on his blog about Kaine, who I oppose. Bahy wold be okay.
He is 100% pro-chocie.

You were actually influenced by that? It is obviously a partisan piece of crap put out by hillary supporters. It didn't take long to recognize it for what it was, and I could only watch about 25% of it before I quit. There is a part where they show the delegate counts of obama and hillary superimposed over a website that clearly shows a different official delegate count in the background. You would think the brainiacs behind this could have seen it before posting the video.
If this crap influences your decisions, then I am glad you are going to sit this one out.
Good. Now I can write her in on my ballot.
How does squandering my vote on the least of two Bad ideas solve anything?
Obama needs a majority of voters to be elected.
Not a fan club.
And he won't have it.
But now you won't be able to blame the loss on Hillary. Although that's, of course, what you'll try to do.
Hubris is its own reward.
Generally, its ONLY reward.
Icarus, Macbeth, Obama
But you can feel free to coronate Obama King of Pop any time you want.
Oh, right, you at all the Kool-Aid stands in Neverland have already done that.
It's going to be elegiac, this August, for those of us who will remember it as the time we could have found another candidate for either party and didn't.
As we pay the consequences of the next four years of President McCain.
Or just as likely whoever's picked as VP since he is too taxidermied and doddering to get through it all.
Our future president is now merely a glint in Cheney's and Rove's eyes.
Just like last time.
My friends, doctors and nurses, already started moving to Canada in 2004, warning me of exactly this.
So far their only regret is that they didn't do it sooner.
Especially when they turn on the news.
How many Canadian politicians are ex-oil executives?
I suspect that moving to Canada is going to be the new new thing among the grown-ups who can afford to.
