I've heard from other new organizations that this is her second cookie recipe theft....yet still I think most of us are more inclined to laugh than to take this seriously. She is lucky she's not the wife of a Democrat. This would be her snipergate (the candidate's spouse can't be trusted...if she lies about recipes what if she's willing to lie about sugar in the salt shaker...)

How exactly does one "plagiarize" a recipe? Recipes are not eligible for copyright for a reason. Very few recipes are “new” or “original. Look through cookbooks and magazines; most related recipes have equivalent ingredients and instructions in them.

My mom is a fabulous baker, but she never invented the recipes for the cookies she makes for family and friends - and they all ask Mom for "her" recipes all the time.

The MSM needs to get a real issue to report - looks like they are missing Hillary Clinton more and more every day.

It just shows how ridiculous the "Good Old Boy" meme is, the meme that the GOP constantly tries to nurture and Glenn Greenwald has written books about. The reality is that the "down home" style everyman candidates are really blueblooded elitists who can't even cook for a meal for themselves.

The whole thing was a pathetic attempt by the McCain camp to try and not be perceived as an elitist of the politico class and look more like Joe Everyman, aka George Bush circa 1999. His tactic of copying the idea of Ron Paul and Carol Paul's family recipe cookbook (or real, you know, recipes) failed, because THEY DON'T COOK.

Your mom owes me big time. I totally invented creaming a stick of butter with sugar and adding an egg and vanilla and then mixing in flour, salt and baking powder, and then folding in chocolate chips. No one ever would have thought of it if it hadn't been for me.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I visit my Grandparents I can't wait for some of their down home Ahi Tuna with Napa Gabbage Slaw, with some of their good old fashioned Passion Fruit Mousse for dessert. Give me a break, the whole incident is merely indicative of the all-encompassing fraud that people call John McCain.

If a candidate's family were not off limits this season, I would echo Chris Sinnard's reminder about Napa Cabbage Slaw.

Years ago I picked up a compilation of chocolate recipes from some charity in Oakland. Then Representative Ron Dellums had submitted one that looked familiar: turned out it was word for word from the Joy of Cooking. When you think about it, tho', it is pretty bizarre to imagine that public figures are spending their free time in the kitchen whipping up original recipes. The real scandal is the wholesale theft and plagiarism that happens in every newspaper and magazine food section, but that's a whole nuther story.

Why isn't anyone reinterating that she stole painkillers from a charity she was involved in?

Those drugs were intended for needy prople, instead, this addict took them for her own habit..

No softballs here. Use the truth and hopefully this bitch's history will get around to the voting public.
