Obama would be crazy not to ask.

As much as I detest the way Clinton has conducted herself in this campaign, I feel that Obama would be crazy not to ask her to be his running mate. She could bring in a lot of disgruntled voters who might other wise go for McCain.

?????

Hillary Clinton--she of the ghoulish talk of assassination--for Vice-President? Why? Is Lady Macbeth unavailable?

Lieberman in Drag

After her turncoat performance tonight, screw her. let her be the junior senator from NY. It's more than she deserves. what a shrew.

it's in poor taste to make a comment like that on a night like this one. I'm signing the petition, because if this campaign is about unity, I want unity in the Democratic party...neither of these candidates is perfect, but let the campaign of Hillary Clinton bashing to end. That's right end. He has the nomination. The only thing that will cause him to lose the election is not carrying today and the days to come with grace and largess.

I would be proud to have a woman as vice president as it turns out (and proud to have Hillary Clinton...I've always been a sucker for a good redemption story...and after this primary season God knows we all need one....)

This is why she should go soak her head.

March 1, 2008

FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- Hillary Clinton told reporters that both she and the presumtive Republican nominee John McCain offer the experience to be ready to tackle any crisis facing the country under their watch, but Barack Obama simply offers more rhetoric. “I think you'll be able to imagine many things Senator McCain will be able to say,” she said. “He’s never been the president, but he will put forth his lifetime of experience. I will put forth my lifetime of experience. Senator Obama will put forth a speech he made in 2002.” Clinton was referring to Obama’s anti-war speech he delivered in Chicago before entering the United States Senate.

Her words would be thrown up every time Obama turned around.

nah, no clinton. seeing her still makes me sick. and lots others would be my guess. but a woman on the ticket is a great idea. sebellius, mccaskill, pelosi, etc. but the treacherous shillary must go.

Pastafarians Unite! yes but you're forgetting

imagine her imagination for naughtiness, turned against John McCain...I've been sort of disgusted watching her kick Obama around, but if she turned those powers around to the other guy in the racee, you have to admit it might be kind of fun to watch. And if she wants to be VP (this was a very smart move on her part to indicate that she does) it indicates that she wasn't serious about her reservations about Obama, she was just trying to win the nomination.

I don't know what he will decide...I just think we should keep an open mind.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 09:51 PM

NO!!! A Thousand times no!

Withdraw that petition now! After all the hatred and scorn heaped on this woman, why would she even think of being on this ticket?! I can just imagine any problem, any mistep he takes the Obamatons will blame it on her! And why would Obama want a dyed-in-the-wool "racist" who "denigrated" Martin Luther King and on whom the Republicans have a "truckload" of dirt on his ticket?!! That'd be just plain crazy! Don't you think?

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 09:52 PM

Nononononononononoooooo!

Give her a cabinet position or an ambassadorship. Or send her back to the Senate. But do NOT give her the vice president spot. As much as I liked Bill Clinton as president, I don't think I can stand another six months of him bellerboxing about how much better a presidential candidate his wife would have been...

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 09:55 PM

tejano the important thing is that

Hillary is given credit for how much she did accomplish and that the "shillary" and "billary" stuff ends now...what makes me sick is the thought of a Republican in the white house in November.

I think he can win without her, and maybe it's not meant to be. But you have to admit that if they put the party's best interest in front of them, and maybe Bill ran for Hillary's old senate to get him out of the way--it might make a compelling case for voters.

either way, I just think we should keep our minds open. I honestly believe that Obama is considering this, and that he will offer it to her. You can say that she doesn't "deserve" it but many many voters did vote for her, and I believe that Obama is a compassionate as well as a smart person. It's possible...

I don't think it is a good idea but if Obama asked Clinton I would accept it. I reallllly don't think that's a good idea though.

He should definitely invite her to write the health-care plank for the convention. In the end Senate Majority Leader might be a better spot. And by all means, he should bring in the best of her top leadership if (if she releases them). That is only the ones that didn't screw up royally.

OT- Can I rudely invite myself to the imaginary party? Since weeping is bringing Rachel Maddow and lateagain is coming wiht Fareed Zacharia - I'd ask if I could invite Dorris Kearns Goodwin. (The author of Team of Rivals- and would probably argue for Obama asking Clinton to be VP. I would respectfully disagree on that but she can kick some serious history knowledge.)

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 10:09 PM

Not a good idea

If you were Obama, would you really want Bill frequently wondering the halls of the Whitehouse, constantly suggesting what you really should do about one thing or another. Hell No! Send them back to New York and call on them when you want to. We've already had one veep calling the shots for 7 and a half years, we don't need another one +1.

Actually, he better pick someone who opposed the war in 02. Otherwise a huge chunk of his credibility will be shot.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 10:10 PM

Clinton as veep?

Barack Obama picking BILLARY Clinton as vice president will be like me picking a spitting Cobra as a room mate!

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 10:10 PM

Obama needs her

Obama can't win the general election without Hillary Clinton's supporters. He would be smart to put her on the ticket.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 10:15 PM

I guess we'll have to start a petition to keep her OFF!!!

Obama will lose his base if he chooses Hillary for VP.

Hillary and her supporters need to deal with reality and start doing what is best for the party.

It is over. You lost. Stop acting like babies.
