But he did quit. Face it, Bob, your wife is fifty times the statesperson you could ever be. And your diction is, well, meadow muffins. Go back to doing the diaper commercials.
Scotty, why did it take you seven plus years to realise you were being the mouthpiece for liars and war crimonals? How many times did you get up there and act like everything's coming u roses at Gitmo? In New Orleans? In Iraq?
Have you never had ANY powers of just plain obsevation. Did you really think the whole world was wrong about that Godforsaken war? Dumbass.
If true, it is obvious Bob was speaking off the cuff. All over the country the official Rove response was "surprise" and "that didn't sound like scotty m." etc. I am skeptical about this lambasting from Bob Dole.
Republicans are not permitted to think on their own behalf and must refer to Rove "talking points". I doubt the creditability of this e-mail. I'll be waiting for a Salon retraction and apology.
dole is probably one of the most discredited politicians today and so for him to critize some one who finally found the courage to speak out,is pathetic. As for Scott McClellan,he always appeared to be out of the loop,"nerdy" and an almost child-like follower,so for him to come out now is great.I didn't think there was any one left to defend this administration.
Hadn't seen this old version of Dole in years. Go back to bed Bob. Liz is the politician in the family now.
As others have pointed out, no one in the Administration has denied the truth of McClellan's allegations. But they are displaying all the outrage of grade school kids who have been ratted on by a fellow classmate. It's indignation on the level of saying "You promised not to tell!" And it pretty much makes McClellan a tattle tale. I think he's going to be almost as lonely a Republican as Lieberman is a Democrat, for the nxt few years. Dole is right about one thing; if the next president is smart, they won't touch this guy with a barge pole.
Watching it all has the same horrid fascination as a bad road accident.
proves once again that he is the partisan hack we all knew he was back in '96.
Funny, I didn't notice Dole or any others in the choir of right wing spinners actually making specific denials of any of the allegations made in McClellan's book. They are ALL simply 'puzzled, this is not the Scott I knew' while making ad homenim attacks on the messenger.
Reminds some of us old timers of '73 and the 'non-denial denial' tactics of Nixon and the other Watergate criminals.
So Scotty should feel grateful for getting his job?
It's no surprise that Dole thinks so; he's a Republican, and we now know that Republicans view government jobs as patronage, not service to the country.
Heckofajob, Bobby.
So just in case you're wonder who the f&^$ the 27% of people how STILL approve of Bush are:
count Bob Dole and all the dumbasses who were so puzzled this week and their families. OH! and a couple of defense contractors and their kin too.
Three words:
Not. Fucking. Cool.
...cashing in on government service was a good thing to these guys (and gals).
And Dole's quip about the "liberal anti-Bush press," is simply too ridiculous: where is this supposed anti-Bush press? Europe? They sure as shit ain't in America, and that is the key point from the book, so far.
Whats the matter Bob? Outta Viagra?
" miserable creatures like you " " your type soaks up the benefits of power" " spurred on by greed, cashes in"
Bob. He's a REPUBLICAN. That is what they DO.
Geez, Bob. I mean, your wife..
It's not like she could have gotten elected without being married to you. It's not like she could have gotten elected if you hadn't run for President.
It's not like she is actually contributing to the health and welfare of the USA.
Senile dementia.
Sorry 'bout the double post, Y'All!
I work with little kids... and you know what? I can tell which ones lie to me about stuff. You know why? Because they're the ones who vehemently deny the truth when it is presented to them. They are OUTRAGED at even the suggestion of what I ultimately discover (and they ultimately admit to) as being the truth.
Isn't it obvious why the Right is coming out of the woodwork to bash McClellan and deny his allegations? These folks know that once Scotty is out from under the microscope, it's going to turn towards them looking for answers.
McClellan has opened the floodgates. The subpoenas SHOULD start pouring out of congress, and those folks that don't have the personal favor of President Bush are going to be left to fend for themselves.
Knowing what little I know about the truth of this corrupt and devious administration... if I'd been associated with them, I'd be nervous too.
I'm not so sure we'll look all the way back to a fossil like Dole... but, who knows?
Either way, this seems to have gotten more of a rise out of him than an entire bottle of Viagra!
