[please excuse my mangled spanish!]
No estoy seguro. Sospecho ese Obama' los motivos de s eran buenos aquí, y su mensaje es ciertamente postive, y altamente relevante. Pienso que es fronteras en pandering, sin embargo
I speak Spanish and I say the bulk of this was dubbed - it's probably Obama saying "Soy Barak Obama y yo apruebo este mensaje" but after that the accent gets better and his mouth isn't really making the right movements.
I still wish him the best and hope he can pull it off.
s.o.c.k.s.

O ... ¿de los anglos? ¿De los ... anglo-Latino-vinobebendador-Americanos?
No sé. Este elección está muy confusando.
I believe that an ad which says "My father understood the hardship of living in a country which is not entirely yours. You are US citizens, but do not have full rights, and this truth was given to me from my father. We, you and I, don't look like all Americans. My ears are large... As your president, I will remember that all members of the American family have special gifts to bring to the whole, and that our "together" is bigger than all of us...I would appreciate the honor of your vote on June 1"
Obama es el bombo!
It could be dubbed and still be Barak.
If the voice track was laid down in a studio, on script, and peiced together take after take, to make sure the pronunciation is right, and making sure that an error in pronunciation or gramar didn't make the Senator refer to himself as a jelly doughnut.
Once you get that track you lay it over the video, which requires it be done in one take, and could likely have been done with Senator Obama, simply mouthing the words so as to avoid the entire issue of pronunciation.
With most political ads, close enough is usually good enough, so if you notice a bit of a dub speed loss, that could explain it.
Or it could just be that we're watching the ad online, and some dubspeed error is common.
It is confusing, but I doubt that Obama's accent will be of concern to most Puerto Ricans. I'm betting that they will appreciate the "effort" but will vote their hearts anyway. It's not hard for a person who doesn't speak a particular language to learn a few words phoenetically. Heck, I could probably do a decent campaign ad with my high school Spanish (although I've been told by Hispanics that my accent is too "proper").
My Spanish is not that "bueno" but it sure sounds to me like Obama's voice speaking the body of the message. Or else they found somebody who sounds a lot like him. Anyway, good on him for making the effort!
Obama is awesome, Hillary is a puto.
Es verdad!
Any advertising or content that you see or hear in the media is heavily reworked in the studio. It is standard operating procedure. I'm surprised that is unexpected by some. I guarantee he also had 5 lbs of makeup on.
It is in the same way that Ashlee Simpson has sold millions of records, despite sounding like a sick gila monster when performing live.
There was only one person in world history who sounded better "live" compared to "in studio". And that man's name was Johnny Cash.
Es verdad that Obama cannot speak Spansish and is taking the art of "speaking a few words in spanish" pandering to new heights or lows depending on your pov.

Whatever dude, I saw the Stones live a couple years back and they still are better live than on the records. Also, ever hear of Bob Schneider (or The Scabs)?
Definitely wish I could have seen Johnny Cash live, though.
That surprises me, because everyone I know who has seen the Stones says they aren't so hot live. And these are Stones fans.
I have never seen them live, not a big concert guy. I'd add that the Replacements were awful live because they were astoundingly drunk when I saw them, Bruce always great.
Hillary promised them statehood last week! Which most of them don't even want.
You have become a parody of yourself, sajwan!
Mr. Koppelman, yesterday you criticized a similar lack of details in McCain's ad:
"[McCain's ad]...features a lot of lofty promises -- "John McCain will make taxes simpler, fairer; Energy cleaner, cheaper; Health care portable and affordable" -- but offers no details on how all this will be accomplished."
I'm just sayin'...
Saw The Replacements live @ The Metro in Chicago and Bob Stinson was drunk on his ass. Terrible show. Later he was replaced by Slim Dunlap I believe. But their album Let It Be is one of the great ones. And finally, it doesn't get any better than Bruce & the E Street Band live.
After eight years of one of the stupidest, most corrupt and greedy presidents in our history it is refreshing beyond my ability to put into words to have someone running for president who represents the BEST that this country has to offer.
PS:(Hillary is no slouch either, but I do give the edge to Obama.)
