    I often wondered how loud the Repubs would howl if a lame-duck Democratic president put US troops in harms way as Bush 1 did.

    I think it's saber-rattling, at least I hope it is. We simply don't have the troops to engage in any ground war with Iran. Dipshit might try some missile strikes but that would only inflame the Shia population in the region and risks turning them all on the US troops in Iraq. Suicidal but, sadly, plausible.
