Traitors!!
All of them!
-
And now ....
... this board will suddenly receive many posts from purported steelworkers expressing their dissatisfaction with the union's action.
-
STEELWORKERS?
Can't believe they didn't go with the chick!
This is great news for Obama.
-
Clinton is not the nominee
This is an affront to all female steelworkers! ARG!
/sarcasm
It's ridiculous, all this purported outrage of betrayal against the pre-ordained nominee (that is, before actual voting commenced). Obama is our nominee and fine one, too.
Maybe it's lobbyists that are all these Hillary dead enders? Hmm.
-
Alkaline got that right!
You are surely correct about this. These endorsements are nice but not all that valuable. It doesn't matter now because it's over. And all the Clinton people and the Obama people have to get along in order to get rid of the loathsome evil Dubya/Darth policies which would be continued under a McCain regime.

#$(&%
I just find it hilarious that John Edwards and the Steel Workers' Union (and more to come certainly) are all coming out for Obama now, obviously trying to tell Hillary Clinton, "Enough is enough already." Yet she refuses to listen. She will not take a hint, in fact she will not even recognize the truth of the situation even after everyone comes out to plead with her to please drop her bid. Why is she being so obstinate? In my opinion she is trying to position herself in such a way as to potentially become some high ranking member of Obama's administration. She will hold the delegates she has pledged to her over Obama's head until he agrees to her demands for power. She may even be planning to create her own kingdom, to succeed as it were, from the union with her adherents. She can then be President of the new Republic she forms.
-
Correction
That is, 'secede'. Sorry about that, it has been a while since I had to contemplate a seceding.
-
Uh Oh
Now even the white people are stabbing Hillary in the back!
I guess these people will be attacked next, they'll be taken out of the 'hard working American' category.
Damn those latte sipping, sushi-eating, steel-forging, elitists!!!!
-
I can't wait for Shawn to show us
...how the steelworkers' union is just another example of those detestable liberal eggheads and non-hardworking (non-white) Americans who support Obama.
Shawn, if it's really about electability, will you stop your bleating after we elect Obama with no help from you? Would that be okay with you, sir?
-
@-- Patrick Morgan
I'd like to think that cooperation instead of extortion, on Clinton's part, would be the best path to securing a role in any Obama administration.
-
A Bunch Of Sheep
It seems that the union heads are truly acting like a bunch of sheep rather than leaders.
It seems to be folly that people who did not vote for Obama will listen to people who care too much about " party unity".
I think this time around, many people will not allow themselves to be tied to party loyalties. Hopefully they will think of what is best for the nation and their families.
I know I certainly will. Despite the pleadings of the pundits, losing candidates who will now hold hands and say I was kidding, that won't work this time.
For the first time in my 40 years of voting will I vote for a Republican for President
-
Actually ...
I think the most likely "this doesn't count" approach for the Clinton campaign -- unless they just ignore it -- will be to say that the union leadership is "out of touch with the hard-working membership".
(Which for all I know may be true, but I suspect that the truth or falsity of it won't matter.)
-
"Can't believe they didn't go with the chick!"
Hepstyle, sweetie, you do not appear to have gotten the Unity Memo. Please, a little self-censorship goes a long way, kid.
-
Zeuser
It is amazing you were able to post the message, what with the keyboard being soaking wet. Next time, place some tissues around the keys so that they can aborb the tears. Maybe get yourself a rattle too. Or a woobie.
You child.
-
@ siebecker
Does is really look to you like Hillary Clinton in any way is willing to cooperate with Obama? I think not. He has become the golden child that she thought she was and still thinks she can be. I think that Hillary, like so many of her supporters, loathes Obama simply because he out-dueled her, and she isn't going to let it go. This brings to mind a line out of a Moliere play, "A woman always has her revenge ready."

You don't get it Achilles...
While you sit here repeating the "conventional wisdom" passed down to you by the chattering classes, Shawn has been hanging out with and talking to actual steelworkers in those traditional places where they work and live, like steel mills around Pittsburgh and stuff. And based on what they've been telling him, never in a million years would anyone associated with the steel industry ever vote for an anti-feminist closet Muslim like Obama !$#%!#$% !
Hope that helps.
-
@zeuser
For the first time in my 40 years of voting will I vote for a Republican for President
Really? You mean that?
Really?
You didn't vote for Bush either time, but you're going to vote for McCain?
That's baffling. What possible reason would you have for doing that?
-
@ Mike LeP
Why should anyone even care if Obama were ("if" -by the way, he isn't) a Muslim. Muslims can be Americans too. In fact, there are Muslims who are American, just as there are Christians, Jews, etc. who are American. Being a Muslim is no more insane than being a Christian, Jew, etc.; all such cults believe in invisible, non-existent beings and live in delusion.
-
@kreniigh
You didn't vote for Bush either time, but you're going to vote for McCain?
Good luck with that. I've seen countless posts from purported Hillary supporters claiming they would vote for McCain if Hillary didn't win the nomination. I have not seen one of them explain why McCain's position(s) on any significant issue(s) is preferable to Obama's.
-
For the first time in 40 years...
you'll be voting Republican?
Why?
Because Hillary and McCain have more in common than Hillary and Obama?
Assuming it isn't just childish pique talking, I really need to understand the logic behind that statement.
