Remember that the North Carolina win doesn't count.
Obama's win is full of black people, which go to churches that are out of touch with mainstream America. And John Edwards is an asshat for failing to endorse a candidate before the vote in his own state. What a tool.
-
Turn out was the highest ever, 35%
I'm not sure what that means nationally. But Bev Purdue is whompin on Roy Moore for the Dem Gov slot.
-
But the Michigan win by Hillary Does count.
Michigan is filled with real heartland supporting, white church going, George Bush Voting, War loving patriots who support obliterating Iran.
-
It's a Republican wet dream
but I wouldn't worry too much. Obama will win the nomination and damned few Democrats who are really Democrats are going to vote for McCain.
Get over it. Clinton started with the majority of black vote until she got down and dirty. She can't win that way. It's over.
-
Maybe maybe not
It's not as if the US is 58% Black is it? 19-20% nationally, behind Hispanics. The black vote in America is critical for the Dems but not overall unless there is a huge shift to the GOP which is not likely. I guess Obama needs to run an Hispanic, female, transgengered, Catholic Buddhist Indian gay, handicapped veteran as his veep. That way we no longer even have to have talking points at all.

Take your race and shove it
If MI and FL are not brought into the national picture immediately and their votes counted, and if Obama is the Democratic nominee, I will not vote for president in November. If MI and FL are returned to the national picture immediately and their votes counted, then I will vote for the Democratic nominee whomever it is.
-
If the vote was really split on racial lines
Shouldn't Hillary have won both NC and Indiana hands down?
I also think it is reach to say that voters in Indiana and North Carolina represent the whole Democratic electorate. The really only reflect the Indiana and North Carolina electorate.
Hillary's margin with white voters in those two states is just about the amount of people who admit in public that race was a factor in their voting. The same people who wouldn't vote for Hillary in the general.
Does anyone really think there is a massive union in a Venn Diagram of "People who wouldn't vote for an African American" and "People who would vote for a woman"?

McCain Dragging out the same old Republican bullshit
Haven't seen any opinions yet on McCain's new talking point: that Clinton and Obama are in favor of "activist judges."
What a piece of shit he has become---I mean, we knew this was going to happen, right? But can you believe these right wing assholes are going to just replay the 2004 election? Sadly, there are millions or morons out there in the voting public who will buy it lock, stock, and barrel again.
The Democrats should just look at the Republican 2004 playbook, prepare stock responses, and be ready to smack down those assholes the minute they drag out another rotten chestnut like that.
-
So, um...
...Do we get to stop pretending that Hillary has a chance to win now? You guys let me know. I am but your humble servant.
-
@slc
"Do we get to stop pretending that Hillary has a chance to win now?"
No, not as long as we continue to pretend that FL & MI don't exist.
-
@KateTex
Oh, f@cking spare me. Do we have to talk about this forever? Hillary is on the DNC. The DNC choose to exclude Florida and Michigan. Hillary made speeches in support of this. She continued to make speeches in support of this. Even after the Florida and Michigan results came in, she still continued to make speeches in support of this. Only after Super Tuesday, when it became suddenly clear that she wasn't going to barnstorm to the nomination after all, was she suddenly shocked, SHOCKED, to learn that the Florida and Michigan votes wouldn't be counted. It's not some crazy plan that Obama came up with.
And you know what? Fine, f@cking take Florida and Michigan. Give her the votes and the delegates. Seriously. Let's just have that happen. She'll still lose anyway. Really; I am totally prepared to let that happen, even if it makes no really sense based on her prior words and actions. Hillary? You can have Florida and Michigan, just so I never have to hear about them again. I am just so tired of these garbage excuses...
-
wait a tick...
Is it just me or is the fact that Obama got 40% of the white vote somewhat significant??
I thought these were the people he insulted by calling them bitter and scared the living bejeebus out of with Rev Wright?
Isn't the fact that he has cut that deficit by a significant margin a big deal??
just wonderin'

Disingenuous Obamateur's wrt Florida and Michgan.
Despite the fact that the Obamateur advertised nationally non-stop while disingenuously claiming not to be advertising, he lost Florida by BIG margins.
As for the disgustingly unDemocratic Obamateur's faux claims that Florida went and did this and deserver to be disenfranchised, another total crockpot of baloney. Florida, controlled by a GOP governor and rightwing legislator DELIBERATELY did that, not the voters, and Howard Dean, the most incompetent DNC chair EVER who went along with it, is the same tired incompetent that LIBERAL's WHO PREDOMINANTLY support Obama shoved Dean down our throats as DNC Chair after the public solidly rejected him as presidential material (and rightfully so).
It's high time to stop letting incompetent neo-lefties shove losers down our throats before it is TOO LATE. NO DEAN. and NOBAMA (McAin't)
-
Yes.
I love it, in a way. Nothing will stop the crazies. They are endless and forever. You know what, doofuses? I can't stand Hillary, and I would still vote for her over McCain. Nothing could ever convince me to vote Republican. Nothing. Ever. But you guys feel free to continue with your apocalyptic sermons about how it's the end of the world because a candidate who slightly differs from your own is going to win the nomination. Please.
And ShawnWM? I guess if you want to stop Obama from being shoved down our (your) throat, you could go on, say, a mass killing-spree. You could start with the majority of Americans who voted for him, and then move on to the majority of delegates who voted for him... A mass killing-spree doesn't sound so far-fetched, after all, given the general tone of your comments. (And I've had to suffer through a lot of them.)
Anyway, me, I'm done for the night. You guys play nice now. Shalom!
