bill kristol
There is nobody on the Fox network more obnoxious than Bill Kristol, a Likudnik right out of central casting. You don't have to be an anti-semite to hate his guts!
-
Not a fan of Kristol
However, here he actually speaks the truth, unvarnished. Pretty sad when it takes an arch conservative to point out just how rotten the liberal media have been when it comes to coverage of Hillary Clinton's candidacy.
-
gives the term
"damning with faint praise" a new shine, no?
-
Hate
Bill Kristol is right. Apparently reporters in the mainstream media consider it their God-given right to publicly express personal, venomous, visceral hatred of Hillary Clinton. Chris Mathews displays it on a daily basis.
Why is this hatred so acceptable?
-
Don't Cry For Me...
Someone please change little Billy's diaper and give him his bottle. He needs a nap. The house of Clinton may be on the decline, but I'm sure the rightwing nut jobs can always find another imaginary enemy to conjure up...Look Billy! Over there! It's a really scary looking black man!
-
Don't read too much into this.
Kristol comes not to praise Hillary but to bury Obama. He just figures She will be easier for McCain to beat in November. And then, who on the right can resist taking a stab at the "liberal media".
-
She's easy to beat -- they want her to win
-
I actually read his column this morning
And he makes some good points. The people here should read the whole thing rather than this little excerpt that is essentially irrelevant to the points he was making.

More Like Bill Kristol, Douche Bag
Although now that I think about it, lying sack of shite would be a more accurate description of what kind of bag Kristol is.
While some Hillary supporters would say "amen" to Kristol's krap, do others find it troubling that the leading neo-con media asshat is the one defending your candidate?
-
what's that old saying?
With friends like these?....
-
When is Hillary Clinton going to renounce and reject the Vast Right Wing Conspiricy?
She's getting very cozy.
-
Liberal media? Huh?
Where exactly is this "liberal" media of which you speak? France?
The mainstream US media is almost entirely corporatist and right wing. Neither Senator Clinton or Senator Obama has gotten a fair shake in the press. Both have been unfairly attacked, and unfairly glorified, depending on what needs to be said to keep them both on this hamster wheel we call the primary. The only thing "liberal" about the major networks and press is the amount of lies tolerated in pursuit of ratings.
Sad to see Alex back... I was happy to miss his daily cheerleading for Hillary, and consistent regurgitation of her talking points and supporter's blogs, posed as "stories" or reportage. It's amazing how fast the quality of posts to War Room collapsed upon his return. At least we had one week of semi-balance there.

Kristol did a 180. Was lavishing praise on Barry Obama months ago
Today Jerry "God Damn America" Wright told the National Press Club Louis Farrakhan is one of the most important figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Comments like that have turned off more than a few of Obama's early admirers like Kristol. Now they see Barry for who he is. A typical politician who isn't running a political campaign a dishonest and deceitful marketing campaign.
-
Statistics show...
once your success has been rationalized by Kristol...in reality, you have truly failed....
-
Not to be a nag or anything...
...but "unambivalent" is not a word.
-
If I were a true democrat,
I would view demonization and vilification by Bill Kristol as a marker of success.
He, and people like Scaife, would be high on my list of folks I would NOT want an endorsement by.
If I were a true democrat, that is.
-
Rarely...
Has one person been so profoundly wrong on critical issues affecting this country yet still be accorded credibility by a credulous media. For his prognosticational and analytical sins, Kristol should be viewed as the Harold Stassen of punditry instead of being seen as some sage whose views merit any attention.

Lincoln/Douglas Debate for BO/HRC?
Its surprising that there has been little discussion about HRC's proposal for a Lincoln/Douglas debate and BO's rejection of the challenge. Over the primary season, supporters on both sides have been angry and disappointed with the quality and content of the questions that the media moderators have posed. A Lincoln/Douglas style debate that is focused on the issues is a great opportunity to see how the candidates match up.
HRC made the challenge because she is playing catch up, so her incentive for the debate is clear. BO has the lead but (assuming he gets the nomination) participating in the debate is an investment for the general election. A strong performance solidifies his position with the superdelegates and sets a debate precedent. Its likely that either BO or HRC would defeat JM in a Lincoln/Douglas debate, especially on economic issues. If BO declines HRC challenge, then if BO seeks a Lincoln/Douglas debate with JM in the general, JM will easily be able to dodge it for the same reasons. Given the media bias that JM enjoys, a Lincoln/Douglas debate in the general election would give a good chance to keep the focus on the issues where the Dems have a strong advantage. If BO plays it safe with the lead now, he may be giving up a needed weapon if he's playing catch up to JM in the general election.

Bill Kristol isn't even as smart as a broken clock
I take comfort in the fact that Kristol is wrong 100 percent of the time, and he does nothing to lower his batting average with this column. Conservative columnists, just like their counterparts on TV, work for the GOP. They don't do or say anything that isn't part of standard marching orders to further the republican party and it candidates. Kristol's recent column, just like all the columns before that, have that objective. Take from that what you will. I'm sure Kristol would be proud of the poster who somehow brought this topic around to Rev. Wright and the Nation of Islam. You know how far the political process has fallen when even contributors to online forums use the insulting, off-topic tactics of the worst politicians.

He's praising her because she's running a Republican-style campaign
Of course the conservatives are praising the Clintons. After years of doing war and trying to convince Bill and Hillary there way is right, HRC has now, finally, resorted to Republican tactics.
Also since she seems to almost completely endorse the right-wing neo-conservative foreign policy agenda (right down to attacking Iran) how else would the right-wing feel other than victorious?
And then, finally, there's the added bonus of continuing Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos (dragging the Democratic primary out as long as they can.)
They know what everyone else has seemed to have forgotten, the longer a primary goes the better it is for the opposition party (in this case the Republicans.) And as for a brokered convention-- forget it, whoever has one of those has lost. They're counting correctly on the fact the media and the Democratic Party are simply unable to look back at history(1968, 1972,1 980, etc., etc.) and realize what they're doing to their own party.
Add in the fact African Americans and young people on one side and women on the other are at each other's throats and this is a Republican dream come true.
Anyone who believes Bill Kristol is simply championing the underdog I've got some land in a swamp down in Florida to sell you.
