Stupid sound bites are like rattlesnakes--they cause the media herd to stampede...
How does Obama or any competent candidate overcome spinners and TV talking heads that have their own agendas; national TV media that, for the most part, avoid the big issues and concentrate on the stupid stuff (like why Obama mentions "bitter" in a speech); and generally a conservative, vote-against-their-own-interests electorate who voted twice for George W. Bush (and got two unresolved wars out it, the highest gasoline prices in history, the highest budget deficit, the highest rate of home foreclosures, the highest number of people on food stamps, etc.)? Wow, I don't know. I watched the interview with the Rev. Wright on Bill Moyer's Journal on PBS on Friday and what I learned is what I thought: the commercial national TV media took the sound bites out of context and turned a molehill into a mountain. I guess one thing all of America could use...more reports by reporters and interviewers like Bill Moyers, who get to the bottom of the story, provide it fully, and don't stampede into journalism herd mentality over unimportant sound bites.

Perot Ignored
am really surprised just HOW MANY Americans are “OUT-OF-TOUCH”. Wow, how can anyone not see jobs progressively moving to foreign lands, starting way back in the 1970’s, and growing exponentially when NAFTA was inacted?
Today, as Hillary and Barack addressed their mapped out little patterns of Indiana turf, I was surprised to see how only Barack “Gets it”, and Hillary is totally clueless. Areas that are most important are (1) the conflict/policing of Iraq, and the OPPORTUNITY COST associated with this poorly selected option,(2) The UNFAIR TRADE exchange that exists, under the guise of NAFTA,(3) Uncontrolled price gouging at the Gas Pumps, which effects everyone directly, and also, indirectly with increases in consumer prices.
NAFTA has to be amended, Period. With constraints of pollution laws, wage laws, and human right issues, the U.S. is “Hand-Tied”. The playing field MUST be leveled, while still keeping those constraints which are “good” to the Public, in place. There is an "URGENCY". This can be done by putting tariffs on imports, or by giving tax breaks to the Companies that stay in the United States. Utilizing just these few ways, companies will not receive the benefit of massive profits by taking our jobs elsewhere.
Hear the "GIANT SUCKING SOUND"?

PAUL KRUGMAN is a bold-faced 'COMMISIR' apologist!!!
PAUL KRUGMAN, would be 'MARXIST COMMIESIR' hiding out at the NYSlimes - has to ask why 'working-class-WHITES' won't vote for SENATOR OBAMA after his it was "...my typical WHITE grandma's..." fault-speech??? JUST HOW IGNURANT ARE THESE 'NEW COMMUMIST ELITE VANGUARD TYPES' ANYWAY??? Oh sorry probably KRUGMAN was in a rush to get his thoughts on paper so he could escape the hoi-polloi working masses and travel to the CAPE of COD or MARTHA'S VINEYARD - for some quality time with 'his kind of people' - the few who still read the NYSlimes!!!

Obama wetting himself at the thought of another debate
Michelle, where are my b*lls? Where are my b*lls?

Krugman asks?
Who cares?! You can just take a look at what some of the comments on this post say and it will answer that question better than anything Paul Krugman has to speculate about.
Pundits are actually criticizing Obama for being educated, smart, intuitive and giving him shit about not being some sharp-shooter, expert bowler, coffee-addicted diner dweller.
Axelrod made a comment earlier in the week (that Bill Clinton jumped all over and twisted to suit his needs) regarding how in past elections the working class white has overwhelmingly voted Republican. People were pissed, but he was right. So was Obama. Take the word cling out of it and white people in supressed areas of the country vote on "moral/values" issues.
This time we have people talking about race & gender versus "who do you want to have a beer with?" I always thought that was so stupid. I don't want to sit down and have a drink with the person that I am looking to fix the complete and total f-ck ups of the past 8 years. We need a smart and focused person. Period.
I could give a shit less who he sat on a board with, who lives in his neighborhood, who donated $200.00 to his state senate campaign 6 years ago, what his bowling score is, what he eats for breakfast, or who his god damned preacher was. After George Bush and Dick Cheney are you kidding me? After the complete melt-down of our government, Constitution, and financial systems people need to start thinking about what is important here. We have two wars that are going to hell, a broken military, a do-nothing / accomplish nothing Congress, a recession, a failing infrastructure, a dollar thats worth a dime, skyrocketing oil and gas prices, global warming, a failed justice system, a corrupt executive branch, rising levels of poverty, health insurance crisis and rising costs, mortgage crisis, failing education system..and ON & ON!!!
But, yeah, let's just keep the focus on all the trivial shit because we all know that it should be the priority for our country.

Residual support for Bill Clinton is a valid basis for supporting Hillary Clinton
Koppleman writes "he doesn't take into account the possibility that some of Clinton's votes may be coming from residual support for Bill Clinton", but residual support for Bill Clinton is a perfectly legitimate deciding factor.
Now more than ever American voters want and need experience. Bill Clinton's leadership experience could prove to be a powerful asset should Senator Clinton win the Presidency.

SEIU endorses Obama
Yes, my union supports Obama. We are health care workers, public service employees, and building services personnel/security officers.
Obama needs to emphasize his strengths with ALL demographics.

What's "wrong" with the Obama campaign?
He's only in the lead by what, a hundred and thirty delegates or thereabouts. He'll probably pick up another twenty or so more delegates on Clinton in NC and IN. By Oregon he will have the absolute majority of pledged delegates. There is no groundswell of superdelegates. If anything they have been going to Obama by something like five to one since Super Tuesday.
So what's wrong with Obama's campaign?
He's gone in against the presumptive nominee who had far greater name recognition. He developed a fundraising strategy that has lapped the usual big donors of his opponent. He has an unstoppable group of people on the ground in primary states, gaining the advantage in places where his opponent ignored or took the votes for granted. Obama has shown strength with moderate Republicans and independents while his opponent has shown strength either in traditional blue states where either candidate will win, or has managed wins with the aid of Republicans who've crossed over to help what they've determined to the weaker opponent.
So what's wrong with Obama's campaign? He's winning. He's going to win. Relative to the other campaign, there's nothing wrong with his campaign.
