Is John McCain's support in the polls just a bubble due to burst?
  • Hoo-Boy . . .

To think that massive DEM advertising is going to change the general public's mind about McCain seems illogicial to me. McCain has already been "branded"; he's been around forever, he's run for president before, and people know him. If anything, his rock-steady 45% is a "floor", not a "ceiling."

It's Obama who is unknown, and vulnerable to being defined by his opponents. People (the ones who don't read blogs religiously, nor listen to NPR) are still learning about him and his past; learning not from Obama's fans in the MSM, but from his opponents. And it's going to get alot worse once he's the nominee. The GOP 527's are already starting to define him in NC this week.

Progessives need to start dealing with reality about our chances in the general election. Study the presidential elections for the last 30 years, and plan accordingly.

Every four years we say "but it's different this time!", and we're always wrong. Just ask President McGovern, or President Mondale, or President Dukakis, or President Kerry.

    IMHO.
