Talk about substance-free posts, mrclownboy
Yours is pure ad hominem and says nothing. But you are well-named! Are you Manos99 too?

Wow, just watching the news yesterday and today
They're burying Obama with his own words. It's FANTASTIC!

Yeah, nevermind that he was actually right and described the premise of the rightwing's "Moral majority" down to a tee.
No, he is a horrible person for pointing out that certain wedge issues (Like say, religion and guns) are being used against the American people, by cynical politicians.
After all, what America needs is more noise on religion and guns. Forget those policies which actually mean anything.

Visit Hillary's new restaurant chain - Pander Express!
News is that Hillary is about to open a new fast food chain in working class towns across America called Pander Express. It will feature glorious looking pictures of sumptuous meals for affordable prices. However, the actual food that comes out will be hot garbage made in India and China. But it will be loaded with sugar and butter and people will think it's good. But it will actually only serve to deepen the depression felt in these towns by causing heart failure, diabetes, and other health problems.
Pander Express - coming to a small town near you in 2008!

Her Majesty, Defender of the Working Man...
After rising up in (self) righteous indignation to defend the faith-filled and the gunbearing (including a delightful snippet about what an armsman she purports to be), Her Majesty declined to provide answers to the questions of when was the last time she either attended church or fired a gun.
She did find time, however, to be filmed downing a shot and a beer. How very blue collar! And unbitter.
Of course, maybe if some of those small town working class cleared 109 million last year, they'd find very little to be bitter about too... and probably spend less time drinking in bars with political riffraff.

For those who haven't been living under a rock...
...it's clear that many Americans actually are bitter. You see evidence every day on talk radio, in blogs, on bumper stickers, in opinion polls, etc. Anger, bitterness, resentment, distrust and frustration are rampant nowadays. So why is Obama being crucified for telling the truth and pointing this out?
For some reason, we as Americans have come to expect our politicians to constantly "affirm" us and make us feel better about ourselves. We expect to be praised effusively as patriotic, honest, hardworking people who always make the right decisions. We can do no wrong.
When anything does go wrong in our lives, politicians play to our bruised egos by creating faux scapegoats. You lost your job because evil corporations are moving their factories to India. You haven't gotten a raise because illegal immigrants are depressing wages. Crime is rampant because granny can't pack heat when she goes for the early bird special at Shoney's. Your marriage is failing because gays are making a mockery of the traditional family structure and actively recruiting new members.
This deflection allows politicians to evade having to deal with the problems directly at the policy level. It's much easier to fan the flames of bitterness than to develop solutions. Religion and distrust of people who aren't like upi are very deep reservoirs to tap into when a scapegoat is needed.
America is a bitter country. The first step to recovery is admitting that we have a problem. I'm thankful that Obama had the courage to say what a lot of people may not want to hear, but which any objective person knows is true.

I am America
I'm special. I'm always right. It's someone else's fault. I didn't do it. My opinion is correct. There are no valid viewpoints other than my own. I will only vote for someone who's like me. Anyone who's not like me can't understand me. Don't insult me. Tell me what I want to hear. I distrust people smarter than me. I don't want to feel dumb. But I also don't want to read and learn and understand - I already know everything I need to know. The good book tells me. Foreigners are shady. USA is #1. Wooooo! The truth is what I want it to be, and anyone who disagrees is lying. I like people who are like me. I like people who agree with me. I don't like to be challenged. I never change my mind. You're either with me or against me. I have morals. My morals are the only valid morals. People should be forced to live their lives like I live mine - then America would be a better place.
Is there a politician out there who can pander to me? Great. I'll vote for them. It'll feel good knowing that they care about what I care about. And they surely do - they just said so!
God Bless America.

Chose not to watch
There's a religious litmus test now? I chose not to watch for fear of excessive pandering and b.s.
Sounds like i made the right choice.

In addition, captainlarab...
...Obama's mother is from Kansas! So he might actually be aware of what IS wrong with Kansas...

Conference on Faith?
I did not watch due to aversion to gluttonous pander fests. But since it was on faith, were all faiths represented or just protestants? After all Christians (protestants especially), regardless of the religious freedom and diversity of this country, seem to be the only ones elected president.
That ammendment about there being no religious test... yeah right.
-
Not smart
of Clinton to dog Gore and Kerry like that. But if we're playing by her standards, isn't Obama the perfect man for the job as far as religion goes? I mean-- other than the "scary black preacher talking loud" thing.

Hillary support the politics of guns, god, and gays
Hillary knows GOD damn good and well what Obama meant by his statements. He clerly meant to point out how a large portion of Americans have been beaten into economic submission by the Republicans and conned into focusing merely on the "morality" politics of god, guns, and gays.
Apparently, Hillary is more than willing to utilize that same technique. Ignore the economy, ignore the war....look, over there, the queers are going to take your guns and religion from you.

"Ooops I Told the Truth"
It's always amusing when a politician gets pilloried for stating something that's obviously true. "Well, yeah, but you can't say it!"
