HILLARY DOES NOT WANT FL OR MI TO COUNT
As she has stated in the past, the fair way to count these states is a do-over. These Rebulican controlled states will not fund another primary, so end of story. The real truth here is that Hillary does NOT want a these votes to count or to have a do-over. If the votes are counted, come June 15 the other states will have voted for Obama and it will be clear that she lost in every single scenario. If MI and FL revote -- like Pennsylvania to Puerto Rico, she will lose and it will be clear that she has lost in every possible scenario. If the previous votes are not counted and there is no revote, she will always enjoy the whisper of doubt that she was treated unfairly and is OWED the next election open in 2016 or so. I am all for a revote, for having her stay in the race as long she wants, nothing better will prove that the majority of democats want Obama. We love Sen. Clinton, but Barrak is just... better.

That's Our Best Shot Now
When McCain beats Obama in Michigan and Florida, it doesn't count.
-
If 500,000 voters signed a petition asking Hillary to quit the race...
Would she do it?
-
Bedrock American principle...
Know what else is a "bedrock American principle?" When you break the rules you suffer the consequences. At least it used to be...
-
"Whether you support Clinton or not, in this case she is on the side of the angels."
"Technically speaking" Lucifer was an angel, too.

nadador
I would say "online opinions" fall under the same category...

How many times will Florida be given a pass for f*cking up our electoral process?
Oh noes! Hanging chads! Everybody run!
First they've demonstrated that they don't know how to vote. Then they showed us that their black citizen's votes don't count. Then they break the Dem primary rules knowing full well what the consequences will be and expect to be given a pass for it?
Enough. Consider this a boot up your ass, FL.

Equal Parts Mendacity and Duplicity
"It is a bedrock American principle: we are all equal in the voting booth," the petition says.
And to paraphrase Orwell, "But some votes are MORE equal than others." Alas, votes for HR Clinton are the most equal of all, so long as they tip her way, right? Any votes not cast for her, however, are outrages to justice. So, skewed elections and campaigns that gave her wins are paragons of justice, while free, fair, and open elections that she lost are clearly unrepresentative of the people's will. I sense a pattern here, it's so familiar! And she wants to pretend to actually bring change to the White House? For real? By keeping mendacity as the operating principle of governance? By cynically manipulating the political process for personal gain? How is that any different than the Bush League?
-
Maybe the Dems
can ask for "proportional voting" in Florida for the national race against McCain...
-
Why didn't she bring this up before?
I don't understand why no reporter has asked Mrs. Clinton directly: Why didn't you protest the disenfranchisement of Michigan and Florida voters back in the Fall of 2007 when the DNC announced that delegates from these states would not be seated if their primaries were held before Feb 5 2008?
Instead of insisting that all delegates must be seated, she signed a pledge not to campaign in those states if they refused to reschedule their primaries.
It's not any candidate or the DNC who is disenfranchising Florida and Michigan voters. It's those states' own decision to break national party rules which has caused their delegates not be seated.

I like 'em both but can't stand the whining!
I was a fledgling HRC supporter before all of this maneuvering began. I was so proud to be a democrat with such a deep and rich collection of great candidates -- all of whom refrained from covert challenges and attacks on the others. Then the cascade of bullying, whining, surrogate slime, and maneuvering began. My kids and their friends lost their enthusiasm for the race -- sensing that, contrary to their initial reaction -- this was politics as usual.
Personally, I once was found but now I am lost and have a message to the candidates and their supporters: Engage us with your goodness. (We already agree with your policies!) Stop gaming the system (HIllary in this case changing her commitment to rules she agreed to). And tell us why you would be best, not why your democratic opponent -- a good and decent progressive -- would be worst.

Cheaters shouldn't win
If you have to cheat to win, you're not a winner, you're a cheater.
Hillary is a cheater.
-
If This Were A Level Fight...
Clinton might have a case with seating the Florida and Michigan delegates. That is, if those contests had been ones where her fellow Democratic contenders were also on the ballot and they lost.
As is, her campaign's insistence on being robbed of electoral victories in Michigan and Florida reminds me of a prototypical moment in a Golden Age of Hollywood boxing movie. It's the moment where one boxer following the rules walks into the ring while his opponent cheats by wearing boxing gloves with horseshoes hidden inside.
-
IL, WI, PA, KS, CO, CA, UT, TX, TN, MN, MA, and so forth
did not cheat.
We didn't get preferential treatment. Our votes did not count as much.
Why should a cheater, like those from MI and FL, get any good deal?
They cut in line. They agreed not to cut in line, but they did cut in line. When someone cuts in line, I don't agree that they should get to use their cheating, they should be taken out and not allowed to play.

Yikes!
"I've Advised Before
And I herewith advise again. Treat Hillary nice or she damn well may scrap the kitchen sink, go grab the toilet and dump it on all of you". --The Notorious W.E.S.
Is this supposed to make Senator Clinton more appealing as a candidate? Man, Clinton sure is good at inspiring FEAR in people - kind of the opposite of that other guy. You know, the hope-monger. Given the vengeful nature of the Clintons, it's amazing that people like Bill Richardson have the courage to stand up to them. Thankfully, online letter writers like us don't have to worry about Hillary Clinton going into a rage and dumping toilets on us.

@ericlane
Exactly! The time to protest should have been then ...barn doors horses gone and all that stuff

Geez
Does anyone really think Florida voters have a right to be counted? It's bad enough they couldn't figure out a simple ballot in 2000 and started this whole GWB disaster in the first place. Now they move a primary they were ordered not to move, vote when they were told it would not count, and still demand to be counted!
And Michigan, way to go, taking voting hints from Florida. No wonder your economy is right up there with North Korea's. Good work.
The rules were clearly announced to everyone. The people who broke them have no right to anything. Have voters in those states even fired the party bosses who created this mess yet? I don't want to hear any more whining until they have fired them and apologized for ignoring the rules.
