Obama missed the point about Philly and Rocky
For people who live in Philly ( I spent a good 5 yrs of my adult life there) Rocky is not just an action hero. He is an underdog who tries to overcome long odds and this is the image that
Philly people believe in. I understood immediately that is what Clinton was pointing to and I am not sure what Obama is going to achieve by saying Rocky is just a movie character. Philly people
(and many others not living in Philly) are going through bad economic times and they would like to believe that they can overcome the odds.
