Letters to the Editor

Letters posted here are associated with the following article:
Ohio officials say it is unlikely that the radio host will be charged for encouraging Republican voters to switch parties and vote for Hillary Clinton.

  • Why shouldn't Limbaugh republicans vote for Hillary?

After all, she was the president of her college Republican Party.

  • Typo

It's spelled "innocent", not "let off the hook." Surely you know the difference between the two. For example: Bill Clinton was let off the hook for perjury, whereas Hillary is completely innocent where the topic of dodging sniper fire is concerned.

  • The Great Rush L.

Ohio officials knew they could not defeat Rush-Bo in court that's why they left the Great Rush-Bo alone. It is true, he can beat the liberals with half his brain tied behind his back. Go get'em Rush.

  • My reasons for voting for x have to be acceptable to the wider public?

Yes, Rush Limbaugh is a mostly disagreeable figure, but the fact that no one writing here seems bothered by the presumptive idea that encouraging people to vote tactically is NOT protected speech is frightening.

Why shouldn't Limbaugh be "allowed" to encourage republicans to vote for whoever they feel like, and for whatever reasons they see as fitting? When we vote do we have to justify our internal state, our conscience, to the state?

If I encourage democrats to vote for Ron Paul, for example, should I also be concerned with being prosecuted by the government?

  • Limbaugh's a Liar?

Can the AG back up his "liar" claim?

Since Limbaugh is a public figure, does that make the AG immune from a libel lawsuit?

Can we get some evidence of Limbaugh Lies? (you know, like the video disproving billary's claim that she was under sniper fire in Bosnia).

  • Jonathan Verson...

I don't know how you got this apprehension-

"...the fact that no one writing here seems bothered by the presumptive idea that encouraging people to vote tactically is NOT protected speech is frightening."

Out of the 29 letters preceding yours, approximately 3 of them indicated support for the Ohio AG attempting to pursue criminal charges against Rush Limbaugh.

Norbit: Now that's a libel suit I'd like to see: Rush Limbaugh suing someone for libel for calling him a liar.

    Rush Limbaugh is a liar.

I could defend myself against that libel suit per se, if you follow me. And I don't even have a law degree. The discovery documentation for my defense would require a wheelbarrow- if not a dumptruck, LOL.

  • not another typo...

I meant to write pro se, not per se.
