  • What did he say?

    A charmless, nasty little scuzzball?

  • did he really say that?

the attorney general of ohio is my new hero

  • Brilliant

"We have no intention of prosecuting Rush Limbaugh because lying through your teeth and being stupid isn't a crime."

    That makes my day.

  • NOW he volunteers

Limbaugh claims he'll gladly do his time as a badge of honor, and do his show from jail.

Ironic, since he fought like hell to stay out of jail when he got jammed up over his abuse of presriptions during his drug-addled Oxy days. (And since he missed out on his chance to do his time in the armed services due to a boil on his bum.)

This guy's so used to having carte blanche under the Bush administration, and so generally delusional, that he really believes they'd let him do a radio show from prison. Hey Rushbo, I'm guessing the department of corrections might be a bit unwilling to play along with your little stunt.

  • Atty Gen. of Ohio

    For VP!

  • "...confirming that he supports the tenets of his new party."

I have a pretty good idea of the Green Party's "core values," because that party has published local and national versions of its core values.

I have also found published versions of "core values" or "principles" for various Republican Party organizations.

But what ARE the official "tenets" / "core values" / "principles" of the Democratic Party?

Put another way: according to the Democratic Party, what is the difference between Democrats and, say, Republicans?

    Anyone know?

  • Hee hee

Little does Limbaugh realize that the much more organized Project Mayhem has already bested him by putting a doddering lunatic up as the Republican Candidate.

After all, who would think that a pro-war lunatic with an admitted lack of economic understanding, a raging hard-on for neverending war with Iraq, Iran, Syria and Lebanon, symptoms of dementia and PTSD would be a good idea for a candidate?

Oh wait. The polls are how close? Tyler Durden you have doomed us all!

  • Limbaugh off the hook for voter fraud

Off the hook? He was never on the hook. I'm by no means one of Limbaugh's "dittoheads" but the idea that he was any time in serious danger of being indicted for any kind of voter fraud is ludicrous. I think it's detestable that a radio host would encourage listeners to try to subvert a political primary by switching parties, even if legal though in bad faith, but the First Amendment clearly protects this kind of speech. In the unlikely even any crime were comitted, it would be by individual voters, not by Limbaugh.

It appears that the Ohio election gumshoes are wise enough not to give Limbaugh the attention he craves.

  • @jamesslow

I beleive it was "Festering puss filled blot on western civilization" (with apologies to PG Wodehouse)

  • @ barrister89

"being indicted for any kind of voter fraud is ludicrous."

Not if you are an elected or registered Democrat...

  • Calling 'Em Like He Sees 'Em

As for Limbaugh's chances of facing charges, Jennings said, "We have no intention of prosecuting Rush Limbaugh because lying through your teeth and being stupid isn't a crime."

I'd say Mr. Jennings is a fine judge of character. And, like most people there are times when I'm very glad that second thing isn't a crime per se, although it's involved in most criminal acts.

  • I gather I haven't missed anything by not listening to Mr. Limbaugh's show.

"Don't worry, I'm the only one going to jail."

"The check is in the mail."

"Wear [your voter fraud] as a badge of honor."

    "It's my sister's panties. Sure I told you I had a sister."

"Trust me on this. Hillary. cannot. actually. win."

"Manipulating election results has always been the sole responsibility of the drive-by media."

    "I'm a cute lovable fuzzball"

If I called Mr. Limbaugh a socio-pathic liar, he'd take it as a compliment, right?

  • Rush is a "harmless, lovable little fuzzball"?

He's a lousy piece-of-shit scumbag is what he is. And every minute of his miserable douchebag existence is an affront to my sensibilities.

  • IOKIYAR

    Per Strangely Enough

"being indicted for any kind of voter fraud is ludicrous."

Not if you are an elected or registered Democrat...

    Exactly. But "It's okay if you're a Republican"™.

  • Good For Rush

Does anyone really think that party-switchers necessarily believe in the tenets of their new party? In Pennsylvania you'll have thousands of voters switching just because (a) there's no Republican race and they want to vote, (b) they really like Obama, which doesn't mean that they believe in the tenets of his party (whatever that even means, the Democratic Party has no clearly defined tenets, unless you go to the party platform, but everyone in the party differs from what the platform says on one point or another), or (c) they like Hillary, but again, don't necessarily believe in the tenets of the party. I think it's a stupid and utterly unenforceable law. There are pro-life, tax-cutting, Iraq hawk Democrats in the Congress right now. Are they breaking the law by registering as Democrats? Or are the tenets of the party so abstract and vague that virtually anyone could say he believes in them?

  • Limbaugh's not the problem...

The real problem is that the Democratic Party has created a system where this could occur. Hopefully, the leaders will reflect on this problem and change procedures so that this cannot happen in the future. I am also waiting for that report that is supposed to be coming very soon which may deflate some of Hillary Clinton's balloon over her Ohio win. If this comes out in the next few days, there will be a justified discussion of the legitimacy and implications of some of the possible PA results.

  • Limbaugh

Occasionally I listen to Limbaugh. I hate damn near everything he says, but I do believe in listening to the "enemy" to see what is being said.

Here is my question. How can a person claim to be an American and a patriot when they consistently attempt to destroy the basic values of America?

Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" is about the destruction of fair play, decency and honor. It is unfathomable to me that people listen to his unending crap and buy into it. His rantings display the worst of America. His rantings are pure evil.

It would be great if we could blame his drug addiction for the venom he spews. Unfortunately, I believe that at his core, he is simply a hateful person who feeds on power for personal pleasure. The tragedy is that some people believe it.
