Good For Franco Harris

But that was still an incomplete pass.

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:08 PM

i love it

No articles about Obama's long time friend and spiritual leader Rev. "god damn america" Wright printing Trumpet Newsmagazine, and publishing an article in which he described the crucifixion of Jesus as "public lynching Italian style."

"(Jesus') enemies had their opinion about Him," Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue, according to CNSNews.com. "The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans."

But they can find space about a football player endorsing Obama.

Ah, only in Obamaland.

exact same level of bitterness...

...in the first two letters.

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:27 PM

@loud's son go ahead

If you want to complain about something that doesn't matter. This is tabloid news, merely amusing. Until Franco crack blocks the Gov. of PA, what's the point? What will be the next WarRoom missive? Hillary fears the terrible towel? Is Bradshaw a secret Hillary or McCain supporter?

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:29 PM

Actual attempt at a point...

What is it with the Pittsbugh Steelers? Lynn Swann ran for governor (badly), and now this?

Is it because people in Pittsburgh rely so heavily on the Steelers for their identity that it's effective? I don't recall any recent examples of, for example, Clinton cozying up to Brett Favre to help in the WI or MS primaries, and I didn't see Obama playing catch with Johnny Bench to woo the Cincinnati vote in Ohio (and believe me, I'm from there, that would TOTALLY work).

I don't mean to insult Pittsburghers intelligence by saying they're swayed by jocks, and this kind of stuff does happen on occasion when a politician stops by for a photo-op, but this seems like something of a trend.

@sonofloud

What -- pardon my french -- the fuck does Rev. Wright have to do with anything at this point? Seriously. Do you really believe that Obama is somehow a closet racist? Do you feel that Obama -- not the Rev. Wright, who, last I checked, is not running for president -- hates America? Really?

Really?

Friday, March 28, 2008 01:37 PM

Thank God for Sonof...whatever

We have you to inform of us Wright's statements. Maybe you should start a website, wrightisthedevil.com. Also, Obama=Antichrist.net. or better yet, imarepublicantrollinclintonface.com.

I'm actually pretty happy people like you are running this story into the ground. Go ahead. The election is months away, and American's capacity to be shocked, shocked, SHOCKED about any one scandal (even regarding an old retired preacher like Wright) doesn't last forever.

GO STEELERS!

As a former Pittsburgh resident I have to say yes that as sad as some may find it the opinion of Jerome Bettis does matter to Pittsburghers. It won't turn away diehard Hillary fans but it will sway alot of people who are up for grabs.

Also sonofloud just be quiet please. I'm tired of running into your inane attacks again and again. Yes we get it, you hate Obama and want to have like a million of McCain's babies.

Friday, March 28, 2008 02:02 PM

@john40

I get it, and I'm sorry I equated your very real pain to the GOP troll...

The Bus on the Bus

Hey great hearing Franko and Jerome are supporting Obama. When there is talk about racism, there is plenty of it right here in America. Why are we in Iraq and the foul names people are called! How often does one hear mentioning "Ragheads". Someone claimed about Wright speaking about Israel! Why should Israel get a pass when it is one of the most racist countries in the world and they tend to get strong support by Hillary, McCain and of course Liberman! A Palestinian married to an Israeli woman can't even ride in the same taxi.

In my opinion, I believe Obama can not only bring the people together in this country but also around the world. He is willing to sit down and talk with leaders of sovereign nations and that's more than Hillary wants to do.

Also Hillary said Wright wouldn't be her pastor after his remarks. I can't blame her for making the statement after all the money being donated to her by AIPAC. Additionally, wasn't there a pic of Pres Clinton shaking hands with Wright. Wright did serve in the USMC and NAvy.

I suggest Pittsburgh voters not make a decision

until we know who Terry Bradshaw supports. And why aren't there more defensive players coming out? Rod Woodson, voters need your input!

And award it for this post that not only knocks an unhinged conservative troll, but Tom Brady and Raiders fans while referencing the late, great Bob Ross in one fell swoop.

This, my friends, is sheer genius.

Will We Ever Learn

The Democrats started this primary with a really good group of candidates and looks like we are going to pick the least qualified of the bunch because he talks pretty.

I truly hope I have to eat these words but it appears we, the Democrats are preparing to shoot ourself in the foot once again.
