  • cynthera45: gET READY TO GET ON YOUR KNEES AND START WORSHIPPING oBAMA

YOUR NEW bLACK PRESIDENT..NOW RUN AND REPORT ME TO HOMELAND SECURITY...LOL,LOL,LOL

  • You're right, Peeps, I;m no Democrat

I'm an Independent, and I plan to vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. A lot of us Indys "got lost" over the past few weeks as the true seeping horror of Obama has risen to the surface.

  • Wow

This "chat room" is full of "snipers" too!

  • Hey, Arandi, get ready to figure out how to use a keyboard

Bozo. God DAMN America! God DAMN America!

  • arandi

Girl, you are angry as many of us. But you need to know that there are many white folk in this forum who are Obama supporters, i.e. flowers, tom payne, uncle fester, hutman, sugarman, and KcM and many others (sorry if I don't mention your names, but I am drawing a blank).

Just wanted you to know that not all white folk hate black folk. I know that.

  • @cythera

So, you'd vote for the anti-christ...or McCain? Go ahead, who cares? It won't matter. Fortunately, there are huge numbers of new voters, smarter voters (than you) and massively discontented voters who will back Obama simply because McCain is more of George Bush and that's the last thing they'll want to see in office.

Perhaps you fail to grasp why Obama is still essentially tied or ahead of both Clinton and McCain in polls, but that's the answer right there. Too bad Clinton has run such a lousy campaign that she is finding it so terribly difficult to make a rational, coherent and consistent argument for her candidacy over Obama's. Can't wait for the tax returns...can you Cythera45?

  • A Little Overstatement By KcM RE: Cantwell's Words

The Vancouver Columbian paraphrases Sen. Maria Cantwell as saying, “…[T]he candidate with the most pledged delegates at the end of the primary season in late June will have the strongest claim to the party’s presidential nomination.”
The paper adds, “Cantwell said she wouldn’t object to a primary contest that went into the summer if it focused on the issues facing the nation, but added, ‘We wouldn’t want to tear apart the party.’
“ ‘I think it’s important that we let it play out in June,’ she said. At that point, she said, ‘I’d be urging my party to make a decision.’”
  • MEMO TO HOWARD DEAN: PULL THE PLUG ON HILLARY. NOW.

I don't need to repeat what's been written here (tom payne: oh, suh-NAP!!!).

Hillary will destroy the Democratic Party. She stoops at nothing. She's atrocious. I - and many others, it appears - will NOT vote for her if she's the Democratic nominee. Not now.

Please, for the love of all that's good and holy, please convince her to stand down.

  • Oh, AlecsMom, your candidate has no chance

The media will help McCain crush him into dust after Hillary softens him up some more.

  • Don't Be Fucking Idiots

All you fucking idiots who say you will vote for McCain if Hillary get the nomination - there are potentially 3...THREE Supreme Court nominations coming up in the next term. I don't want to be fucked for another 40-50 years with McCain's nominees. Do you???? Do you want ALL you rights GONE for the rest of your lives???? Get your head out of your asses!!

  • to cythera

You were always hostile to Obama, he didn't just lose you.

However, what about Clinton appeals to you?

  • Where's the overstatement, LJ?

Cantwell said the supers should vote for the pledged delegate leader, did she not?

I'm confused as to the point you're trying to make.

As for the crazies, don't get banned, now. I want to read your posts after it's all over. Why don't you go write idiotic flames over the Minotaur v. Centaur debate?

    http://www.ugo.com/movies/minotaur-vs-centaur/

  • Oh, Peeps, I would prefer Clinton to Obama, that's all

But then, I'd prefer an axe-murdering child-molester to Obama, too.

  • cythera45

sounds like a new stronger strain of the clap.

  • when will we get the f'ng ability to block specific user's comments??!!

I like to read the comments to get a general idea of the back and forth, but lately it has gotten so negative and mean-spirited and partisan that it's like walking across a minefield. Please give us the ability to block specific user's comments soon. A letters thread that would be say five pages long becomes 15 mainly because of just a few idiots who just MUST have that last word, no matter how asinine they sound.

    Thanks!

  • Don't you all get it? Maria Cantwell has spoken!

    It must be over.

  • No, cythera.

    It was over already. :)

  • Howard Dean is a disaster and should be fired

The Clinton-Obama ticket deal should have been made months ago. Clinton voters will NOT come back to the fold in November if she doesn't top the ticket because they don't think BO is capable so a large portion will defect to McCain.

Obama voters would be there in November if he was on the ticket as VP because their threatened defections are only about sour grapes, not qualifications. VP would be good enough for them whether they admit it here or not.

Add in the Florida and Michigan farces and there is no other way for Democrats to win.

  • @JCourt

... Do you want ALL you rights GONE for the rest of your lives???? ...

A common fallacy among reich-wingers is that only the other side will be made to suffer when this happens. They don't think about how easy it is to fall out of favor and become victims themselves.

  • I know it's sort of pointing the finger but..

Please Salon; remove the ability to comment/post "letters to the editor" in the "War room". Any and all illiterate jackasses have made this so less appealing and much more appalling.

  • to cythera

OK, Clinton isn't so good, it is Obama that is so bad.

What about Obama pisses you off so bad?

  • To all the diehards. . .

I will just remind you that HRC and Obama's POLICIES and VOTING RECORDS in the Senate are 95% the same.

If you like one, why do you loath the other? Have you become emotionally attached to one candidate at the expense of common sense?

  • To answer the question,

Yes, Clinton supporters would accept BO in the VP position because we don't think he would realistically become president for another 8 years, if then.

We might not like the idea of a potential President Obama but we would roll that die if it meant a Democratic victory this time. And who knows, maybe in 8 years Obama won't be threatening to negotiate with terrorists like he is now.

  • Whew! The Paranoia and Race-baiting Is Truly Stagnant

I can't believe that intelligent people fall for every ounce of b.s. online that is proclaimed as "truth". What is really astounding, though, is that liberal/progressive Democrats fall in line for the rantings and ravings. And the race-baiting and fear-mongering put forward by some of the phonies who post here is really stunning. Some of these folks have nothing better to do than "stir up the shit" just to be stirring it. Now THAT'S hateful!
