Letters to the Editor

@billcap: You are so right
Had to go out for some windex
-
Hillary Clinton is behaving like a Republican
-- trying to win negative points by putting down a black, leftist preacher whose style is similar to a great many black preachers/churches
-- trying to evade responsibility for getting caught in a clear and proven lie
Why not just switch parties now? Maybe she can be part of a McCain/Clinton "dream ticket"

@ peeps: I Presume You're Going To Tell Me
But I'm not the one accusing Clinton supporters of being Republicans in Democrats' clothing, and I'm not the one posting race-baiting, racist comments, and accusing Clinton supporters of all being a bunch of white racists, and I'm not the one using four-letter swear words (f***) and sexist language just to get eyebrows raised.
If your "question" is a way of putting this in my lap, I suggest you take a look at your own behavior before criticizing others.
-
LJ: Disagreeing with you is not "hateful."
"I simply pointed out that the statement you made was a 'stretch' about Cantwell's comments. So what?"
And I asked you how I was stretching things. I wrote that Maria Cantwell said supers should back the pledged delegate leader. This is in fact what she said. Your posting the rest of the conversation doesn't change her remarks. So I'm not clear how I was overstating things, and I was asking you to clarify.
And asking you to explain what you meant is not hateful, and it's bizarre of you to act as such. It's also pretty common of you to fall back on straw-man Obamaisms like "transcending politics as usual" when pressured on something you're putting forth as fact. What does that have to do with my post on Cantwell?
The rest of your argument is a total non-sequitur, particularly since the rest of the entry wasn't about you. Note the transition: "As for the crazies."
In any case, I posted the minotaur v. centaur link, since it [a] involves famous people arguing passionately over what's ultimately a totally arbitrary question and [b] I thought it'd be good to lighten the mood. I find it an amusing site.

Walker: "why so hateful?"
Did you expect us to be grateful? Get real!

Pastor
Hillary Clinton is not Black. Click on my name to see the Royalty.
-
Hutman
Maybe she can be part of a McCain/Clinton "dream ticket"
I said it first. Hutman, you cannot steal my prognostication. Uncle Fester already has recorded that in my book of Oracles.
Let's be very honest. Obama is no leftist. He is not.
-
God DAMN America! God DAMN America!
I really never get tired of hearing that.
-
ljwalker53. you know something funny.
In another heated thread, I asked the group if I would be welcomed if I became an Obama supporter and only one of Obama's supporters said yes -- and then later he indicated that he was really just patronizing me.
It is odd, some Obama supporters complain that Clinton supporters are so awful and so disloyal but when you indicate you would actually vote for their candidate in the general if he is the nominee, some of them act like their club is too exclusive to accept a former Clinton supporter.
Oh well. I am a Democrat. Barring some incomprehensible scandal, I will vote Democratic in the fall -- whether certain Obama supporters want me to or not.
What are they afraid of? That I will soil his garment with my vote?
-
God DAMN America! God DAMN America
That will keep ringing in your tin ear because Falwell and Robertson said the same thing over and over again after 9/11. Oh. But they are white pastors and they can say that.
-
to ljwalker
That was a rather presumptuous response. I asked YOU. I never suggested you race baited and didn't accuse you of that at all.
However, now what behavior are you suggesting I take a look at?
-
Falwell, Robertson, and Wright
Excellent company for Obama!
-
cythera45
you say that so well, it's like a greatest hits collection of "goddamn america!"
-
Smith: What are they afraid of?
Everyone is afraid of the badass Tejas Smith. We will avert our eyes when you pull the lever for the democratic nominee.
-
@cythera45
Falwell, Robertson, and Wright
Excellent company for Obama!
Too bad McCain's already got two of them for himself.
-
cythera45
if you could put that "goddamn america" to music you might have a major hit on your hands.
-
lolcait is a cretin
"That's fine with us Democrats who also love America. We want the effective and experienced candidate and we will not vote Democratic if the other one is nominated. So it makes no difference to us if Obama's general election campaign is damaged in the process."
"Who love America?"
WTF is that supposed to mean? I try to ignore most of the bilge that flows on comment threads like these, but you've just pulled a line from Goebbels via Karl Rove. Slandering the other guy's/gal's patriotism is the cheapest form of discourse. 'My country right or wrong' is what got us 8 years of Bush.
There is nothing more patriotic than free speech and well-intentioned criticism of one's government.

Funny How
the "conservative media" seems to forget McCain's endorsement from religious crazy ass fucks who are FAR worse than Wright.
Why is no one reporting that?? example...
Pastor Hagee comparing the Catholic Church to whores - not that I care, but Catholics should be lining up AGAINST McCain for that!
Rod Parsley compared Planned Parenthood to Nazis
How can we possibly defeat the 'conservative media' - as they suck and suck on McCain's dick?
-
To Equate Wright with David Duke - horrifying
is the height of hubris and insult. The Klu Klux Klan murdered tens of thousands of African-Americans after Reconstruction and throughout the Civil Rights Era. They continue to preach hate and murder to this day. Ricky Byrdsong was killed by white supremacist. My grandfather's childhood home was burned to the ground by white supremacists, I don't understand how you equate the speech of Rev. Wright with speech that defines African-americans as second class citizens, monkeys, and slaves. Speech that advocates genocide.
Clinton lacks the class of Mike Huckabee. She lacks the class of John McCain, she lacks the class of Chris Wallace. Each day Clinton campaigns pushes me further away from her. She is slipping in Pennsylvania, slipping in North Carolina, and now she wants to wallow in the mud. Good luck to her. And her more vapid supporters here.
