Was that nomination or abomination?
This whole democratic primary has been suspect, starting with disenfranchising two entire states, ending with spreading the whole damn thing out so it goes on forever ad-nauseum, and in the middle having states tying to out-bizarro each other with hack election procedures.
You know there maybe a reason why we don't have the general election take 8 months and exclude two of the most important states by having a random national drawing.

Texas
"t’s bad enough that super-delegates will be selecting our nominee, it’s worse when people claim a 3% loss is a victory because people got to vote twice, and their second vote counted for more."
Clinton supporters are the BIGGEST whiners in the western hemisphere. Obama's people figured out the ins and outs of various contests, and set things up to win. That's a good thing. Clinton, on the other hand, ignored all the rules, and has tried to win by whining.
Obama has shown a rare command of the machinery of the primary process. Plus, he is not broke like Hillary.
Clinton supporters, stop whining, for the love of god!! Stop lying, you sons of the serpent. Be honest democrats instead of bad republicans, just for a little while!!!

two things
1) xanthro - it's not that people get their vote to count for more in Texas. It's that the primary vote counts for 2/3rds of your vote and the primary counts for 1/3. You have to complete two portions to have your whole vote count. Are you really saying that it's undemocratic to have an engaged electorate? Really? Because the way I see it is, if voting in the nomination process is that important to you, you take a vacation day, or you switch a shift with someone else, you hire a babysitter for a few hours...in short, you do what you can because democracy is so important for you. It's only indefensible to you because your candidate didn't win, just admit that and you'll be happier, I promise. ;)
2) sajwan - PLEASE stop throwing around the word "disenfranchisement" That's a SERIOUS allegation, and one that cuts to the very heart of democracy. Not being party to helping in the NOMINATION process sucks, but disenfranchisment it ain't. Sorry, it just isn't. If you want to read about disenfranchisement pick up the latest Harper's there's an excellent article on the DoJ and their drive to weed out "electoral fraud" which is really just code for "disenfranchise democrats"
thanks

@dataguyx - Is this satire, or what?
Dataguyx, you and many other posts here sound a lot like the recent SNL satire of the press fawning over Obama and castigating Clinton. You're all hyperbole and exagerration - overvalueing Obama and undervalueing Clinton!
"Hillary has been singularily divisive and dismissive of Obama. Cite me ONE example where Obama says a nice thing about McCain and a nasty one about Hillary. Fact is, the flaws are on Hillary's side here. Her scorched-earth campaign has FAR outstepped the bounds of decent primary behavior.
If she campaigned in a reasonable manner, many of us would be less annoyed. But her campaign has not been fair, balanced or good for the Democratic Party."
And Obama has been some kind of ... angel?
From my vantage point, the Democratic campaign has been down and dirty on both sides.
This is not good.
We need mature and reasonable candidates ... and electorate.
We need a president ... not a god.

Obama Will Not Be President
Obama will not be elected president. He has too much baggage starting with his criminal buddy in Chicago, his insane racist pastor who he still defend's even though he wants God to damn America to his silly wife who doesn't like this country she's enough to cost him the election just thinking about her like a bull in a china shop in the White House makes me ill.If you think I'm being hard on his thinskin wait until the republican machine start's picking him apart.if they can destroy a hero like John Kerry what do you think they will do to an empty suit like Obama who voted PRESENT at least 118 times when he was a state Rep. in Illinois. Whether it's right ,wrong or indifferent the majority of White people especially White women will not vote for a black man especially when he insulted them by calling them typical White women what ever in the world that mean's and then has the gall to accuse Hillary's camapign of racism. You who are for Obama are listenging to his feel good speeche's who someone writes for him and not looking at how unqualified he is. When he talk's about bringing this country together (when in fact he is splitting the democrat's wide open) and getting the republican's in congress to back him it show's how naive he is. McConnell and the republican's will chew him up and spit him out and block everything he tries to do. Obama would be a disaster as would McCain. He wasn't satisfied until they released Hillary's papers(which they shouldn't have done)so what about all of his paper work when he was a state Rep.buying a house and other property from an indicited criminal? The republican's will have a field day with that dude.

Clinton has to win 66% to 33% from now on
In every contest to catch Obama's pledged delegate count. If she doesn't, she needs the super delegates to overturn the pledged delegates. We know she won't win at least Oregon or Montana, and possibly not NC.
Given this, why is she still in the race--particularly when she's not criticizing McCain but running a campaign solely against Obama?

@Xanthro
Clinton supporters had the same chance to caucus for their candidate as Obama supporters. What is "undemocratic" about that? Trying to compare Texas' process with the superdelegates is ridiculous. Everyone, I repeat, EVERYONE who voted in Texas had a chance to caucus, unlike the superdelegates, who are better than us. It took a few minutes, and was at civic centers and elementary schools across the country. Easily within walking, cycling, wheelchairing, and driving distance from our homes. If you argue that some people have to work, fine, but understand that it works both ways.
As for Florida and Michigan, they "disenfranchized" themselves when they broke the rules, knowing full well what the penalty was going to be. I can't believe that this even needs to be reiterated as many times as it has, but I know how impressionable some people are to talking points. Obama did not make them ignore the party's rules. Why are you trying to pin this on him? He wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan!
