I live in Texas and am tired of the "two vote" BS
I went to the Caucus. Here's the deal.
You don't get a second vote by going to the caucus. You get the other 1/3 of your vote by going to the caucus. Clinton did very well with the republicans who may have put her over the top in the primary and who voted for her because rush told them to. They weren't about to kill an evening at the Caucus on Clinton's behalf whereas Obama supporters (you know, the ones who will be going door to door in October) did.
It's the rules, always has been. If she's that good, she should have done better.
The other states with caucuses, same deal.
Florida and Michigan were according to DNC rules, not Obama machinations.
She doesn't have the pledged delegates, she doesn't have the number of states, and she doesn't have the most votes (why do the clinton folks keep saying that? She doesn't)After Penn, she won't either.
And before long, she won't have the superdelegates either (She used to have over a hundred extra; I think she's down to less than 50)
A porsche is a nice car; I wish I had one. I've been driving for 35 years (really!) I have a safer driving record than most folks driving them so I think I deserve one and I would drive it really, really well. I'm ready to drive it on day one. But wishing ain't going to make it happen.

"And Obama has been some kind of ... angel?"
What a truly stupid letter.
I am not writing to venerate Obama. I like him. He's a good politician. He runs a good ground campaign.
But stupid ignorant comments like yours are not helpful. No one "venerates" him, bozo.
I reiterate my comment. Give me one example where Obama praised McCain and dumped on Hillary. Fact is, it has not happened. But Hillary has done it REPEATEDLY. It is not a one-sided problem. It's mostly or all the fault of Hillary and her swinish brain-dead followers. I have gotten so tired of the Clinton bullcrap that I am holding my nose all the time. The problems are 90 % Hillary - 10 % obama. That's not an opinion, that's a fact.

@Xanthro: "What Texas did...
...is say, your vote will count more if you have the time to come back and vote again."
Dang right. Those were the rules. And from whom did I learn those rules? From HILLARY CLINTON, speaking at a CLINTON RALLY down here.
And then I went and voted for Obama. Twice.
The Clinton campaign knew the rules, as did Obama's people. Did Clinton lay down and die? Hell no. At my precinct (a working class...no, poor, largely Hispanic precinct), her supporters came out in droves. It wasn't even close: embarrassingly enough for our side, Clinton had about 80%, maybe even 85% of that precinct. I wasn't happy, but that's the game.
Obama just did a better job across the whole state. And that's that game.
There are legitimate criticisms of caucuses, but they do reward those with good organization...something that's kind of key in a general election. I think the whole point of the Texas approach was to split the difference between the two methods, and I can see the validity of that.
At least we didn't try to change the rules all by ourselves, like, ahem, a couple of states I could name.

"...Hillary and her swinish brain-dead followers..."
LOL. Nice one. Keep it up. And good luck with that come November. I will be waiting for you here the day after the election. But don't worry... I won't stick it to you too hard. R*tard.

"Clinton did very well with the republicans who may have put her over the top in the primary and who voted for her because rush told them to."
This is false, and you should know it. Using the very source your pro-Obama colleague referred us to a few posts back, here's the truth about the Texas primary:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21226009/
Republicans voted for Obama, 53% to 46%. Democrats voted for Clinton, 53% to 46%, which once again shows the real little secret in this election--a majority of DEMOCRATS vote for Hillary almost every time.
and your claim about "you get 2/3 of your vote one way and have to come back to get the other 1/3" just makes you look silly. If that were true, no delegates would be assigned until everyone had voted the second time. No, the plain truth is, four million people went to the polls and elected 167 delegates. Then a fraction of those voters came back in the evening, faced mammoth crowds and chaos, many going home without voting after three hours of waiting in line, others testifying to gross cheating, and voted A SECOND TIME to choose 67 more delegates.
And what was the final result of those wonderful caucuses? The state party gave up just a few days ago, and admitted they couldn't do better than 41%. Isn't that right?
I'll take normal and fair democracy, thanks all the same.

"Walk Back?"
What's with this lame reference, not just once, but twice today?

Yet another Clinton supporter who seems to be unable to understand that the rules were there, and that the supporters had to play with the rules that existed, rather than whining about them.
Clinton supporters are great about whining when she did not win. They whine about MI and FL, although the rules were clear, and violated by the states with impunity. She has lost in many caucuses because her supporters do not know the rules.
Win fair, win inside the rules, and understand the rules. And then emulate Senator Obama and graciously congratulate his opponent when she wins fairly.
Meanwhile, please, no more whining. It makes you Clinton supporters look like 3rd graders.

Obama memo
Should the Obama campaign be chastised as racist for using the term " tarring"? I know the Clinton campaign would be raked over the coals for the use of the same word.
