Not too strange really
It doesn't seem strange at all to me that the authors did not mention a handful in the mainstream media who have similarly declared the Clinton campaign dead. At least in my own viewing, listening, and readings I've found that the standard line has been that the Dem race is a virtual dead-heat. The analysis, suggesting that the Politico article is not based on at least subjective truth, seems a bit defensive. Relax, War Room, if the truth hurts, just say, "ouch."

more Obama bias from the media
John McCain was supposedly dead too

Sad.
Solon sucks.
This is not analysis, commentary, or news. This is just an attempt to generate hits by stirring up the teenagers and trolls.
Lose Glenn and you no longer have a magazine. You suck.
For what it's worth, I don't like any of the candidates. They all suck too. They deserve you. Maybe you can become the next Washington Press Corp.

Is this War Room or Blog Report, jr?
Enough, already. Cover the news, dont just regurgitate the opinions of others!

Straight or Twisted?
And, certainly, most of the media is still reporting this race straight, and treating Clinton like she has a chance to win.
That is true, but certainly not straight. They don't have an equal chance to win, which is where the media (ahem) has been fudging it. Her last best chance was to put FL and MI in play and have a run at getting the popular vote, which I thought was doable. Now it looks like FL and MI are out of the picture. Hillary has to hope that Obama really implodes. She'll have to win really big not just in PA, but in NC and IN as well. She still has a chance to win, but it looks smaller after this week, even with the Rev Wright story.
Also, there is no comparison to McCain with respect to bias, Mr. Loud. McCain wasn't dead, he was just in a coma due to lack of funds. He reanimated after he borrowed $3M collaterialized with public campaign funds. No one had actually voted yet. The entire campaign season was still ahead of McCain. Here, there are only 10 or so contests left.

Politico is Right
It has been crazy to watch the primary action lately. Everyone painted Texas and Ohio as these watershed Clinton victories, but counting those Clinton "victories" Obama has actually increased his delegate lead thanks to Mississippi, the Texas caucuses and Obama's gaining the support of some Edwards delegates. Maybe Clinton supporters are not so good at math.

One Person's Bias...
I don't mind people disagreeing with The Politico or Salon. This is still technically a free country.
But are these disagreements based on something more than wishful thinking? An alternative and plausible numerical scenario showing Clinton's cinching the Democratic nomination wasn't provided by these naysayers. I'd be more likely to entertain a possible Clinton victory if that sort of evidence was provided. As is, what I'm getting so far is a replay of Bruno Ganz' role in the German film "Downfall."

Maybe they're reading Salon?
No major news media has come out and said that Hillary's campaign is over. The lengthy NYT piece that you mention would only go so far as to say that Clinton is "facing a narrower path to the nomination." Meanwhile major news media are still reporting about what a Clinton win in PA will mean for this race. Slate today cited a poll that says that Clinton is way up in West Virginia.
Pundits are reporting on the latest from Clinton's camp as though it was still relevant to the race; kind of like how the War Room posted: "Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama" today, which basically reprinted a memo from Mark Penn without any analysis of how futile her "attack" strategy is at this point.
Towards the end of the post the writers claim that a large part of why the mainstream media refuses to say that Clinton is finished is because the media is having too much fun and making too much money on this "exciting" primary season.
"There are other forces also working to preserve the notion of a contest that is still up for grabs.
"One important, if subliminal, reason is self-interest. Reporters and editors love a close race — it’s more fun and it’s good for business."
It begs the question: is Salon making money every time your page views go up? Could that be why you won't call it for Obama but instead keep putting out posts that posit how good it is for democracy that this primary drag on, or that just keep the conflict and arguments between Obama and Hillary supporters without providing any boundaries in reality?

Democracy? More like a Mockery…..
Why are we, the people of America allowing this to happen?
Why are the citizens of the free and the brave allowing another presidential race to go to the cheats?
Maybe we all should stand and not salute the American flag.
Maybe we should all say or agree by association to, “God Damn America”.
Maybe we should lie and state we never heard such words of hatred, but in fact be in the same room with the man who spewed the hatred and the people who rejoiced with the hatred.
Maybe we should have friends who tried to kill innocent people in the armed forces and in the Pentagon and still associate with those friends.
Maybe we should lie about a long term relationship with a money launderer and slum lord.
Maybe we should all throw our white grandmothers under the bus, because we are not man enough to denounce the words or the relationship of a black man not of the cloth, but a man of hatred.
Maybe we should call all white people “typical whites”, but if I were to state “typical black”, I would be charged as a racist.
What is this country coming to when we allow a presidential candidate dictate to our country that not all votes should be counted?
We are no longer Democrats, if we allow this race for the democratic nominee to fall out of our hands.
We are a weak and ignorant people. We are no longer strong and intelligent Americans, if we allow this to happen.
Faith in the democracy has been lost when we allow such to take place. We should be proud Americans, but our confidence in this great country has diminished.
All Americans have struggled for what they have today. We all were once immigrants or are the blood of an immigrant and have worked hard for what we have today. We were all slaves in one way or another. Whether you worked delivering newspapers, scrubbing floors or picking cotton in the fields, your efforts were paid either in cash, food or room and board.
Maybe it would behoove us all to move towards the future. I am tired of the history of what has happened, when what we should be talking of is; how can we make things better? Better not just for one, but for all.
It is up to the citizens of the United States of America to stand up and be counted. The citizens of Florida and Michigan need to revolt and make their voices heard.
The Presidential Candidates should not forget, “We the People of the United States of America” are the ones who must be counted.
The candidate who does not feel that all votes should be counted, should not be a presidential candidate, nor a nominee for the Presidency of the United States of America.
