I'd like to see a poll that asks:
Does Pastor Hagee's remarks endanger McCain's campaign? (Maybe 20 percent would even know what the pollster was talking about.)
Does Clinton's participation on a corporate board whose company head viciously attacked organized workers endanger her campaign? (Maybe 10 percent even know she worked for Walmart, or that at shareholder meetings she attended organized labor was excoriated in terms more hateful than Rev. Wright's.)
This is hurting Obama because the media is making it an issue. If the media covered Bill Clinton's lies non-stop as a reason to doubt his wife's campaign, it would be scurrilous and defamatory, but it would hurt her poll numbers all the same.

Obama says his grandma is a "typical white person" . . .
Someone who is afraid when they see a black person on the street. The interview was played on Air America this morning. Several times. The whole thing. Yikes! What is he thinking? Do I have to say it? There's no typical "white" person - just as there's no typical "black" person. Stop digging, please! Obama played the race card starting back in New Hampshire, and it's coming back to haunt him. This is not going to sit well with middle-American Joes and Janes who need to vote Democratic in November. These folks are not racist - but they sure hate to be lectured about how we should all rise above it - except of course when it's politically expedient to accuse your opponent of being a racist.
Democrats need to focus on a candidate who can get the party together and beat McCain. And I hate to tell folks, but this might not be Obama.

In Chicago, the Tribune has a complement newspaper called the Red Eye. Though it's a bit like having cotton candy for breakfast (I read it during my commute), they offered some interesting numbers a couple of days ago from an AP poll:
Fifteen percent of whites tend to have an unfavorable view of blacks. Twenty-six percent have a very or extremely favorable impression.
Seven percent of blacks have an unfavorable opinion of whites. Forty-nine percent have a very or extremely favorable impression of whites.
Twenty percent of whites have an unfavorable impression of hispanics. Twenty-one percent have a very or extremely favorable view of hispanics.
Four percent of Hispanics have an unfavorable impression of whites. Forty-three percent have a very or extremely favorable impression of whites.
Seven percent of blacks have an unfavorable impression of Hispanics. Forty-five percent have a very or extremely favorable impression of Hispanics.
Seven percent of Hispanics have an unfavorable impression of blacks. Thirty-eight percent have a very or extremely favorable impression of blacks.
So, according to this particular poll, blacks like everyone the most and whites like everyone the least. Ironic.

To American Voters
Folks, If you are effected by this Poll, Hell, look at the questions, the results were predictable. Investigate the intent of the Poll. This Poll is designed to create "Shock and Awe". Maybe a Poll is due on Mrs Clinton's White House religious Affiliations.
Are there not "Racial Issues in America"? Was not and is not the African American Legacy filled with Injustice in America? Should not Rev Wright be granted his Constitutional Right to voice his Opinion on the Subject? Isn't the African American classed as "Disadvantaged" in America.
The U.S> Government as well as many of your Parents and Grandparents did and does endorse these injustices.
Remember, these Pollsters are being paid by someone to create these results. You may adopt Cheney"s additude when it comes to Polls, "SO".
Barak Obama is a blessing to our Nation and the World. His interracial heritage is truly a Godsend. Maybe the Ideas of your interracial Grandson or Granddaughter will Change the hearts of evil men.
Pollsters are merely employees of whoever purchase their services
Voters, Change is long overdue in America. Follow your Spirit. Not a Pollster.

Still mulling this one over
Some random non-scientific observations, and thoughts (fare de jure):
Repeated media plays of Rev. Wright cuts off the air supply for the Obama is a muslim meme for all but the most rabid.
I've come across postings on more sectarian venues where people are re-assesing Obama in a more positive light because he didn't disown his pastor and defended him.
It will be really interesting how other ministers and pastors, etc. cover the Rev Wright in their sermons. I've already seen former minister and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee chasten Joe Scarborough. What will they say, and how will that influence opinion?

Will Wright hurt Obama's chances?
I believe Obama will be hurt however, I believe this will change once all the information is brought out against Clinton and McCain who also were involved with shady characters.
What is not often mentioned about Jeremiah is the fact he served in the United States Marine Corp and subsequently served in the US Navy. I believe this should be brought out in mainstream America.
Another point I'd like to bring out. There is a law in Israel that forbids renting houses to Arabs. Why is it that our politicians in Washington keep giving aid to Israel and also grant form $1400.00 for every individual living in Israel which includes Arab Israelis? Incidentally that money is not shared one bit with the Arab Israelis. Now, I consider that our own country is violating Humanetarian Rights and yet give gives support Israel. Maybe this should also include McCain as he is in Israel along with Libermann praising the Israeli government and people.

There's no way Obama would have admitted being in attendance when "controversial" words were spoken if there wasn't actually video evidence linking him...Can't wait to see the next round...Stocking up on popcorn as I type...

Water Seeks It's Own Level
Barack Obama hung out and was mentored, "his own words," by a dangerous fanatic rascist, not for one year, but for twenty. When that fact was illuminated, Obama dumped his mentor like a hot cake. Obama could not even man up for his own mentor!
I don't buy any of Obama's speech about race. He is a rascist.
He trots out his white mother like a token, calling her a, "normal white woman." Only a rascist would say something like that! What is a normal white woman? I find him to be rascist and sexist.
About all he has going for himself at this point is his oratory and some naivete with some of the voters.
I am a Democrat. If this unsubstantial, and in my mind, somewhat shady person manages to be the Dem candidate, I will vote for McCain. I know a lot of Rupublicans who are voting for Hillary. If she does not make it, they will switch to McCain.
He simply does not have the substance or the experience and further, could it be he did not vote for the Iraq war in the beginning because he had mixed loyalties because of his travels and upbringing? All I have to say in the words of his mentor is "G------mn America," if we are so stupid to vote for this man!
