I think Alex's point was to illustrate that Hillary specifically mentioned coming under "sniper fire" on this occasion. And everybody else who was there, including Sinbad (my personal favorite part of the story), says that she's full of crap.
So, yay to Hillary for traveling to a potentially dangerous area for the sake of trying to bring peace. That's a very cool thing to do. Quite presidential, one might say.
And boo to Hillary for stepping outside of the bounds of the facts to try and make her visit seem more dangerous (and therefore more impressive?) than it actually was. Lies often get presidents in trouble. She might know a thing or two about that.
Also, I don't buy for a second that this was a simple "whoops." I've never been shot at, but I'm pretty sure that I'd remember exactly when and where it happened if it ever did. How embarrassing for her to be called out by Sinbad (!!).
(Still my favorite part of the story.)
