  • Re: 6Stringer - So folks do you agree with these comments

As for AIDS being man made- ummmm, lots of white people beleive that to. There are actually two documentaries that i've seen that make the case. I'll say this. IF the US gvt HAD the technology to do so and release it on minorities, i firmly beleive they would. Just as i don;t know, and dont really beleive Bush had anything to do with 9/11, but do i beleive he is CAPABLE of it? Hell Yeah!

are you mildly or severely retarded?

  • @Odog

Yup, just the intelligent, insightful comeback i expected from such an intellect.

    I am neither.

    Lets see.......

Did i say i beleived those things? No. I said many people do- whites included. Or are YOU so retarded that you've never done any research on the "9/11 truth movement"? or cruised the web even for a bit and found a BILLION different theories about everything- from Thimerisal causing autism, to evolution being a hoax?

Again, i don't ascribe to these theories, i just said they arent necessarily "black" ideas.

You can;t argue that assertion and know it. So you wanna blow smoke.

Go ahead Jack, no-ones buying it.

As for the willingness of our govt to sacrifice american lives for their own purposes? You dont beleive it?

    Are YOU retarded?

Or did you miss the Vietnam war, the Iraq war, the lowering of environmental and medical standards at the cost of America lives by the hundreds of thousands. Not to mention the deaths of millions around the globe. Did you miss the experiments performed on military men with the A-bomb, or the tuskegee experiments, or project Northwoods.

    All documented, Bub, educate yourself.

We've had two horrendous wars alone based on nothing but lies. How many Americn lives were sacrificed for them?

Still think the govt wont do it?

Again, are YOU retarded, or just a political shill?

  • @Dawg

I'm just an aging white dude. But I've seen some shit along the way. Enough to understand why a jury wouldn't trust the word of LAPD. And I used to hear guys like Rev Wright growing up. If you are older, then pre 64 is yesterday. And all the lynchings and medical experiments and back of the buses are not remote history, they are part of your life. There's this mellow aura now to the Sixties, but they were harsh and radical. That's my impression as a youngster at the time. Go on another thread here at Salon (Ferraro needs to apologize) and you'll hear self described "bitter old feminists" complaining that they are being disrespected as the younger generation passes them by. So I can see why both groups view the world a certain way; and I can see that the world is moving on, away from them. I don't have to agree with them to have some empathy.

If you are interested in what's up, go to countdown.msnbc.com and listen to Barack Obama's words from today. People often do the opposite of those close to them. Just ask any parent about their children.

  • And BTW Odog

I'm still waiting for an answer as to how Obama can disagree, publicly, with his church on gays...........yet according to you he has to agree with everything his minister said.

And again, please explain how most americans go against their church doctrines, but Obama HAS TO be in complete agreement with his.

  • Me? I'm gonna remain a registered independent and vote for Obama in the general.

I could never join a political party. I'd feel like I was stuck in a can of sardines. I'm not saying I have a problem with political parties . People have to organize and come together around positions to get those positions into action, all I'm saying is that I've never been an organization joiner ever. This year I'm impressed with the democratic candidate, and by that I mean Obama. I'm not really enthused at the idea of round three of the Clintons, and four score and several years in Iraq with McCain. Obama's got the guts to cut against the grain of the business as usual of what American politics have been for eight long years. I'm still staying independent though. That's just my nature.

I'm sure your talking points for tomorrow will be less tedious than today's. They could hardly be more retentive, repetitive, condescending, or dull. Hillary is going to win Penn. by 25 points now? Is that your prediction, oh omniscient one? The five's about right. My prediction: after all the primaries, Obama will be up by about 130 to 140 delegates and close to a million overall votes (no, Wet Excrement Sack, that doesn't mean voters in Can Bust Ems). Let's get together in June, shall we say, and compare predictions. How do you like your (Jim) Crow cooked? With a white sauce, I presume? May your Depends hold out until then, affectionately, the tomster

  • Uncle Fester

You seem like a nice fellow...I don't understand why everyone can't answer a simple question...Did Obama denounce his pastor comments today because he a) actually disagrees or b) this politically calculated to ensure white voters don't associate him with a preacher that has Black Radical views. Pretty simple question. Why is he taking the time out of his busy schedule repudiate a man/friend/advisor whose controversial comments go right back to just after 9-11 and up to Christmas 2007...Methinks we've only heard the tip of the ice berg when is comes to Pastor Wright...

  • This guy is Barack Obama's friend, but...

Now Barack has to distance himself.

Fer cryin out loud! My brother voted twice for W. Bush, My brother is my friend, but if I were running for president, I would have to denounce my brother, eventually.

Poster Jonathan made a better, more important, more subtle point earlier in this discussion: If you, Odog, had any sense at all, you would understand what this pastor said, in the context of the south side of Chicago, in the context of his generation, in the context of American history.

This preacher is from the old America. Barack Obama is the new, future America. You, Odog, seem to be from Retard America. Why do you not discuss and think, rather than disputing?

  • Nice Doggie

As long as Wright's pronouncements are in context, and are compared with the fascist pharisee pastors like the thankfully dead falwell, the brain dead Robertson, and anyone you care to pick from Bob Jone (don't you dare date a darkie) University, I have no problem with it. Good for the goose, good for the gander. Vetting for everyone! Show it all. Let's have it. First, let's hear the End Timers tell us why we have to endorse everything Israel does no matter what 'cause Jesus will be here in a week or two. You want stone crazy fanatics, you don't look far in either direction before you find 'em. Obama is hardly unusual in attending a church whose views can be selectively seen as wack. I know; I'm a Catholic, and I'm accustomed to everyone assuming that means I condone pedophile rape of altar boys. Just as valid as conflating Obama and Wright. Hit us with your best shot, or find a hydrant somewhere. Or a sparkplug. best, tom
