Resignation be Damned
Part of the game of politics is drawing distinctions between people.
To call Obama black is a fact of life. To call him a Muslim is a lie. Nor should that be germane.
To imply he's a terrorist is another matter.
To imply Hillary should be home wearing an apron is a pejoritive.
I'm proud of the fact that I stood for women reporters to have full membership in our our Press Club when it was a no no. I viewed it as no brainer.
Both of my daughters are professionals having graduated at the head of their class.
I didn't raise them to be anything but themselves

samantha1
Please lead me to a website where all her so called accomplishments are enumerated. Just because she boasts so in her speeches is when she has been outed for her misleading claims. All her false claims have been exposed by former Clinton associates. So please, show me where she has worked relentlessly for families and children? Even Marian Edelman refutes that, and Marian Edelman is more trustworthy and credible than Hillary.

madame, my guess is that samantha1 is an actual (perhaps paid) hillary operative
she really says nothing but tries to convince - i think you'll never get a url from her other than perhaps the official hillary site.

Obama's statement about Rev. Wright
Read it here:

This is how Obama responds to controversies -- he addresses them head-on.

Sugar
There are quite a few of them on Salon. One of them had a live meltdown not too long ago, because she would not take her meds.
They all have one thing in common. When asked to comment on some real brazen Hillary issues, they disappear off the website. Here are some examples:
1. Hillary's foaming McCain's experience over Obama's. If this is not the most assinine way to destroy a member of your own party, how can we ever trust Hillary to be a bonafide member of her own party?
2. Hillary's qualifications and experience have been questioned by members of her own husband's cabinet, i.e. foreign policy, children's issues, etc.
3. Why is Hillary claiming MI and FL primaries when she clearly agreed with the DNC rules to begin with
4. Why does Hillary keep changing goal posts every time she loses a state
5. Why is Hillary claiming Texas, when clearly she lost the caucus delegates.
6. If Obama is winning on race (even while he is also carried by white votes as well) then Hillary is winning because she is a white woman, albeit women above a certain age.
7. If Obama got to where he is today because of race, Hillary got to where she is because she is a woman and because she is married to a former president of the US. At least Obama got to where he is on his own merit, of course with a lot of help from his friends and supporters but certainly NOT because of nepotism.
8. Why is she given a free pass on voting for the war in Iraq, voting for the ban on cluster bombs, on land mines, etc? These are very certainly women's issues.
So Sugar, I am doing my bit for Obama, as an unpaid and unrecognized debunker of Hillary myths. Those of us who have lived through the glazed media productions of the Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton manipulations, can smell a disingenious rat when we see one.
Good night and may a new day dawn. We live by hope.
-
yes, madame, we live by hope
one of the posters said "Hope is an Action" - i think that very clever. it takes as much effort as any "do ing". thanks for the url, hutman, i wanted to see it whole - heard snippets. one thing that wasn't there was wright's elevation of him over hillary. he smiled - but also condemned it as personal ad hominem. maybe you'll hear it too. he said hillary never had a cab pass her by! never was called n*(ordinarily i would have spelled it out, but i see what koppelman does when i call *you* names). i think you are FAR less nonsensically sensitive than he but then, we are on the same side, so i forgive a lot. so does the good madame and many others. as pepys would say, and so to bed.

Carville is Right However Folk Have Opinions:
I salute James Carville for his wisdom and insightful comments. Ms Powell should not have resigned, apologised, nor been asked to, if she beleived "Hillary Clinton is a Monster".
Nor should Mrs. Ferraro if she feels that "Obama would not be where is were he a White Guy". Both have a right to express their opinions.
Such as I have the right to say, "Hillary Clinton is a Monster; Hillary would not be where she is if she was a Black woman"; Hillary wouldn't be where she is were she not the wife of a former President." That's my Opinion

Jim Carville, KEEP A MUZZLE ON Matalin....
Jim Carville, OF COURSE, IS RIGHT! BY THE WAY WAS Mary Matalin REFERRING TO George W. Bush AS A "philandering pot-smoking draft-dodger?" IN WHICH CASE, SHE WOULD BE RIGHT ON THE MONEY! IN ANY CASE, Jim Carville, KEEP A MUZZLE ON THAT BITCH OF A WIFE CALLED Mary Matalin! AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Stifling and Muffling isn't good politics and might be considered voter suppression under Voting Rights Laws
With each utterance calling for resignation of campaign people, it would not be surprising that it yields another vote for McCain.
This campaign of Democrats is a nightmare for free speech and political dissent. People ought to speak their minds and treat it like a presidential election. People are walking on eggshells between the charges of racism and reverse-racism that, however, legitimate, or illegitimate they are, will keep both out of the White House, because to put either in, people would have to be silent for 4 years.
Who wants that?
