Bush "envious" of U.S. troops in Afghanistan
In a videoconference briefing, the president describes what soldiers are doing there as "in some ways romantic."

    I think George had a chance for that "romantic" involvement he speaks of when he WAS young and Vietnam was going on. He ran as fast as he could the other way.

    I wonder if he thinks it's romantic enough for his daughters to join in the fray?

    A good friend of mine.. in his 80's now.. had some sage observations... first, that all of the very decrepit cars rolling around by people who are working two jobs are the ones who have all of the "support our troops" stickers on them. And when he goes to parties (he's an artist) where all of the ultra-wealthy are in attendance he noted that he has yet to see one "support our troops" sticker on any of their Mercedes, BMW's, etc.
